🔗 𝗜𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁, 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗵 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝘀, 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀.

At schülke, we take hygiene seriously. Our series of disinfectants are tested according to 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗘𝗡 14476 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆.

Nipah virus is an enveloped virus, similar to Modified Virus Ankara (MVA) and Vaccinia Elstree, which are representative test microorganisms used in EN 14476/ DVV/RKI testing to evaluate how well disinfectants can work against enveloped viruses.

Disinfectants that are effective against MVA or Vaccinia virus strain Elstree are able to eliminate all enveloped viruses, including Nipah virus (NiV).

✨𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘀.

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿: good personal hygiene is key. Wash hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizers 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 60% 𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹.

🦠 𝗡𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗵 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘂𝘀: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄
Nipah virus is a zoonotic enveloped RNA virus from the Henipavirus genus (family Paramyxoviridae). It can cause illness ranging from mild flu-like symptoms to severe, life-threatening conditions. Awareness of how it spreads is key to protecting yourself and your community.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗡𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗵 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀:
• 🩸 Direct contact with body fluids, blood, or tissue
• 🖐 Touching contaminated surfaces or objects
• 🤝 Close contact with infected individuals

𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘀:
• 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻: fever, headache, muscle pain, sore throat, vomiting
• 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲: breathing difficulties, seizures, encephalitis, coma
• 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲: 40–75%

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀:
• Nipah is an enveloped virus, which can survive on hands and surfaces for hours
• Knowing how it spreads allows you to take simple steps to prevent infection and protect those around you
