A guy with zero credentials telling women to cut out gluten, dairy, sugar, caffeine, seed oils, and fruit “for hormones” is not hormone education 🫠

Here’s what’s actually true 👇🏼

1️⃣ There is no universal hormone “no-food list.”

If someone claims every woman should avoid the same foods, they’re ignoring physiology and selling fear.

2️⃣ Eliminating foods without a medical reason can make hormones worse.

Undereating or feeling afraid of food raises cortisol. Elevated cortisol interferes with ovulation and cycle regularity.

3️⃣ Research does not support cutting out entire food groups for “hormone balance.”

Removal only matters with a confirmed intolerance, allergy, or clinically diagnosed condition.

4️⃣ Most hormone symptoms are not caused by bread.

They are driven by blood sugar instability, chronic stress, under-fueling, disrupted sleep, and nervous system dysregulation.

We see this all the time at Plate and Canvas.

Women come to us exhausted. Anxious around food. Eating like birds. Still having symptoms. Wondering what they’re doing wrong.

They’re not the problem.
The advice is.

I’m curious — have you ever been told to cut out foods for your hormones? What happened? 💛

Most “fertility tea” lists online throw out ten different types with zero research to back them up, and half of them don’t even work in tea form.

So we cut the fluff and kept only what’s actually supported by science.

Inside the blog, you’ll learn:

✨ the top four teas we actually use with clients that are research-backed
✨ the science behind each one
✨ safety considerations when trying to conceive
✨ teas to avoid during the conception window
✨ what matters even more than what’s in your mug

Your fertility shouldn’t feel like a guessing game.

And you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

If you want the blog, comment “TEAS” 🎉

If your skin acts totally different throughout month and you keep switching products because nothing seems to work, you are not the problem and your skin isn’t changing randomly.

Your hormones shift throughout your cycle, and the products you use can either support those changes or make them worse.

🤯 I used to have an issue with breaking out during my follicular phase - it felt like my skin was turning against me at the exact time it was supposed to be clear!

Once I looked closer at my routine, everything made sense.

👉 My breakouts weren’t just hormonal.

They were happening because I was using strong exfoliants when my skin actually needed recovery and barrier support.

Within 8 weeks of:
✅ ramping up hydration and skin barrier support during my period
✅ removing harsh exfoliants in the early follicular phase
✅ focusing on chemical exfoliants late-follicular and luteal phase

I went from monthly flare-ups and irritation to fewer breakouts, calmer skin, and a routine that finally worked with my body instead of against it.

If you’re tired of guessing what your skin needs…

❗Comment “SUPPORT” and I’ll send you details on how we address the underlying drivers of monthly flare-ups!

We’ve spent years telling women to prepare their bodies for pregnancy…

But we rarely talk about how a dad’s health shapes a baby’s future too.

That gap in the conversation is long overdue.

A dad’s health plays a real role in shaping a baby’s future metabolism, energy production, and long-term health.

Not because dads need to be perfect, but because their biology is constantly sending signals into their s***m that get passed on at conception.

The most surprising part is that these signals are influenced by simple, everyday choices.

👉🏼 Movement.
👉🏼 Sleep.
👉🏼 Nutrition.
👉🏼 Stress.
👉🏼 Training habits.

Dads have a window before conception where small changes can make a meaningful impact. Most men have never been told that.

If you and your partner are preparing for a future pregnancy or even considering it, understanding this science can help both of you feel more empowered and informed.

If you know, you know 😅

Most doctors spend less than 2 minutes actually reviewing your chart.

And for a lot of women, it feels like the only question that ever gets asked is:

👉 “When was your last menstrual cycle?”

But your body is so much more than one date on a calendar.

Your symptoms, your history, your patterns ALL matter.

That’s why we spend over an hour reviewing your intake questionnaires befor we even meet, and 75 minutes with you in your initial consultation 💁‍♀️

That’s the difference between:
🚫 “Everything looks normal”
✅ “Here’s what’s going on and what to do about it.”

At Plate and Canvas, when you sit down with us:

✨ We take the time to get your full story including your history, symptoms, patterns, and the details other providers have brushed off.

✨ We map out what’s driving your symptoms so you finally have clarity, not just confusion.

✨ We walk you through a clear game plan for next steps, so you leave the session actually knowing where to go from here.

✨ You have messaging support between sessions because you should never have to figure this out alone.

This is what real care looks like.

The kind every woman deserves.

Comment “BLUEPRINT” and I’ll send you the details on how we work 1:1 with women inside our Wellness Blueprint to help them heal from the inside out 🥰💙
