Keep hope alive.

When his mother died in 2020, Liam Bhola immediately—and understandably—fell into a funk. The 28-year-old Arima-based Bhola had just graduated with a psychology degree and was unable to find work

HIV is no longer a terminal illness. Thanks to antiretroviral therapy (ART), people with HIV can now live long, healthy lives with normal life expectancy.

When treated, the virus can become undetectable and untransmittable (U=U). Once deadly, HIV is now a manageable chronic condition — but global access to treatment remains essential to fully end the epidemic.

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the tragic loss of MP Lisa Morris-Julian and her two children.

We honour her remarkable legacy of service and compassion. As we grieve together, may we find comfort in these words:
"What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us."

Let us support one another during this difficult time.

What is mental health?
Mental health is the way we think and feel and our ability to deal with the ups and downs of life.
We all have mental health, just as we all have physical health.
When we enjoy good mental health, we have a sense of purpose and direction, the energy to do the things we want to do, and the ability to deal with the challenges that happen in our lives.

If you enjoy good mental health, you can:

🔻make the most of your potential
🔻cope with what life throws at you
🔻play a full part in your relationships, your. workplace, and your community

Our mental health doesn't always stay the same. It can fluctuate as circumstances change and as you move through different stages in our lives.
Distress is a word used to describe times when a person isn't coping - for whatever reason. It could be something at home, the pressure of work, or the start of a mental health problem like depression.

When we feel distressed, we need a compassionate, human response. The earlier we can recognise when something isn't quite right, the earlier we can get support.
