The Ulster Canal Stores management and Staff held the ‘Gig in the Garden’ concert on Sunday 27th of July to raise funds for Friends of Cavan Oncology. We would like to sincerely thank everyone who came and donated very generously to our fundraiser. A cheque in the amount of €3180.00 was presented to the nursing staff at the Cavan Oncology Unit on August 13th. We would also like to thank members of the fabulous band ‘In Denial’ and special guest singers Gerry Douglas, Fr Darragh Connelly, the legendary musician Gene Bannon and Vincent Macklin for providing the stage and attending the event to provide his expect sound system. This was one of a programme of events being held in the Ulster Canal Stores and was funded by Monaghan County Council Festival Events Scheme.
