The holidays bring us together, sometimes across miles, years, and life changes.
If you notice a loved one’s health may be declining, it can be hard to know what to say. Here are a few gentle ways to keep the conversation caring and supportive:

Lead with love – Start by sharing a warm memory or expressing how happy you are to see them.
Listen first – Let them share how they’ve been feeling before offering advice.
Offer help, not pressure – Instead of “You should…,” try “Would it help if I…?”
Focus on connection – Sometimes the best gift is simply being present together.

Remember: the goal isn’t to “fix” everything in one visit, it’s to show you care, create comfort, and keep the door open for future conversations. 💖
