This marks the third case in Wisconsin in 2026. Neither this case nor the Dane County case (announced earlier this week) are related to the January case in Waukesha County.

DHS, the City of Milwaukee Health Department, and Walworth County Department of Health and Human Services are investigating a case of in a person who traveled through Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport to Walworth County. We ask Wisconsinites who were at the airport after 10:30 on the evening of January 29 to watch for symptoms and we urge everyone to check their vaccine status: dhs.wisconsin.gov/news/releases/020626.htm
