After everything we have been through the past two years, the thought of a brand new year is very appealing for most of us.

Are you beginning to think about what you want 2022 to be for you, what you want to change, and how you want to be?

A new year often sees us running an audit over the previous year and seeking a physical and mental reset.

Thoughts like I should really join the gym, lose weight or exercise more begin to float around in your mind becoming louder as we get closer to the 1st of January.

But as we all know, itโ€™s not always easy to bring these goals to life and often our new year's resolutions are a distant memory only after a few weeks.

Itโ€™s tough to make these changes stick, right?

Nowadays, it seems that the one constant in our lives is change.

If you are like the majority of us, improving our health is one of the most common new yearโ€™s resolutions.

You start out being very active, motivated and determined to take care of your physical health but then life begins to take hold and wellโ€ฆ. You know how the story goes.

So, the question now is โ€“ how do we commit to those new year resolutions permanently through 2022?

Here are some hints and tips for committing to your health goals for 2022:

โœ”๏ธ Focus on what you should be eating, rather than food restrictions, become aware of your relationship with food.

โœ”๏ธ Donโ€™t drink your calories โ€“ try checking the nutrition facts of the sweet, bottled drink that you pick up and youโ€™ll be surprised how calorie dense they are.
โœ”๏ธ Move your body in ways that bring you joy, get curious, and try a couple of new ways to exercise this year

It is easy to start and change things, but to continue with it โ€ฆ. Thatโ€™s the difficult part.

And often change is a dish best served with support.
