🪡We’ve been enjoying the engagement from the community at our weekly Sewing & Fibre arts drop-ins! Facilitated by artist Jennifer Choo Chee, we've made scrunchies, bandanas, pouches, and plushies.

🧵Drop-in on Saturday afternoons to follow along and learn a new project, or create your own unique work of art. Meet members of the community and contribute to our community quilt! All materials provided, no advance registration required, and no experience is necessary!

Thanks to everyone for joining the sewing session! We had a fantastic time making heart cushions and scrunchies. Everyone was so creative and enthusiastic while working on their projects—it was amazing to see!

🧵 Meet the facilitator for our weekly Sewing & Fibre Arts drop-in program!

✨Jennifer Choo Chee is a wife, mom, former reserve soldier, and dog lover from Trinidad and Tobago. She makes handmade pieces that help fund her Canadian Transplant Games journey and share her passion for organ donation awareness after her life-saving 2008 kidney transplant.

She is a dedicated community figure in South Etobicoke, known for her involvement with Lakeshore Arts, LAMP Community Health Centre, local sports (especially transplant games).
