Lostock Lodge Care Home Our philosophy is simple - our residents and their families are at the heart of our home.

Lostock Lodge Care Home is conveniently located close to the town of Northwich and the M6. The care team is on hand to provide person-centred residential and dementia care either long-term or for short-term respite stays. The purpose-built care home features a private dining room, garden room, cinema and garden. The catering team provides daily home-cooked meals catering to all dietary requirements.

On Wednesday we took a trip to Manchester Runway Visitors Park to watch the planes ✈️

We enjoyed sitting outside with our picnic, watching the planes land and take off 🥪☕️

We were even lucky enough to spot the big Emirates Airbus land 🤩

We also went in and had a look at Concorde, with one of our Residents sharing his memories of having been on that plane! 🥰

On Friday we were joined by the wonderful Edward & Lucy for an afternoon of music, fun and smiles ☺️🎤🕺🏻

Next stop… Australia 🇦🇺🦘🐨

Yesterday we ‘travelled’ to Australia as we watched some fantastic armchair travel of the wonders of this beautiful country. 💚

We also tried some Australian delicacies… Tim Tams and Vegemite! Tim Tams were definitely more popular ☺️

And no trip to Australia would be complete without wearing a cork hat 🇦🇺

2nd stop- France 🇫🇷

Earlier this week we took a ‘trip’ to France as part of our ‘Travel & Transport’ month ✈️

France was another popular holiday destination for many of our Residents.

We watched some armchair travel of France as we enjoyed a wonderful selection of cheeses 🧀 and shared some fond memories ☺️

🌍 8 Days Around the World 🌍

First stop- Spain 🇪🇸💃🏼

Our theme this month is ‘Travel & Transport’ so we thought we would ‘visit’ 8 countries around the world throughout August ✈️

Spain was a popular holiday destination for many of our lovely Residents so we headed there first!

We made our own Flamenco fans 🪭 in the morning and then enjoyed some armchair travel around Spain, with some delicious Sangria 🍷

Last week we went for a lovely visit to S4YC Northwich Nursery ❤️

We throughly enjoyed joining in with their nursery rhymes 🎵, watching their fantastic dancing 🕺🏻 and seeing their excitement when they shared their favourite story with us 🐛

They even treated us to some tasty biscuits they had baked 👩‍🍳

On the way back home, our Residents all said what a lovely time they had had, how well behaved the children were and what a lovely nursery is it 🥰

Pots with Purpose 🪴

Our lovely Reidents have been working hard designing and painting their own plant pots ready to add some beautiful flowers 🌷

As part of Country Court In Bloom, we set our Residents a challenge to design their own plant pot with something that brings them joy 🥰
Once their designs were complete, they got to work painting their plant pots!

We can’t wait to show you all their hard work and fabulous designs ⭐️

In celebration of World Chocolate Day, we taste tested some popular chocolates and voted for our favourite 💜 It was a difficult job, but our Residents were more than happy to accept the challenge ☺️

It’s was a close race between the Twirl Bites and White Chocolate Buttons with the Buttons taking the win! 🏆
