👋 Comment CALM and I’ll send you a free Sophrology guide for you to practice whenever you feel overwhelmed.

Stress doesn’t always shout, sometimes it whispers. You might feel it as tight shoulders, a knot in your stomach, trouble sleeping, or just that feeling of being “on edge” for no reason.

💡 That’s where Sophrology comes in. It’s a mix of gentle movement, simple breathing, and easy visualisations that help you release tension and feel grounded again. You don’t need to be flexible, have lots of time, or know how to meditate, you just follow along and let your body guide you back to calm.

With regular practice, these small exercises mentioned in the video, can help you:

Sleep better
Feel less anxious
Clear your mind so you can focus
Feel more in control of your emotions

Think of it as giving your mind and body the same kind of care you’d give a tired friend, gentle, kind, and consistent. Calm isn’t something you have to wait for… you can create it, one breath at a time.

🚨 You may not have come across Sophrology yet, in part because this complementary mind body practice began in the medical world in Western Europe and is most popular in France,Switzerland, Belgium and Spain. In Switzerland and France, Sophrology is reimbursed by health insurances and used in sport, educational, hospital and corporate settings to support a wide range of mental and physical health issues.

I’ve always loved the magic of Christmas… but not the last-minute rush that comes with it.
As someone who grew up hypersensitive, and who discovered Sophrology at 15 because life already felt “too much”, crowded shops, bright lights and noise can quickly overwhelm my system.

That’s why I prepare early.
Not to be organised for the sake of it, but to protect my energy and enjoy the season without feeling drained.

And after years of working with people who also get overstimulated or anxious during busy times, I know this:
there’s no “right” way to do Christmas, only the way that keeps you well.

So I’m curious…
✨ What kind of Christmas shopper are you?
Last-minute “grab everything and run”, or slow-and-steady like me?

‼️We talk a lot about “resetting” at the end of the year… but there’s a real reason it matters.

When you’ve had months of stress, rushing, thinking, planning, and holding things together, your body doesn’t just switch off because the calendar changes.
Your nervous system needs small signals that it’s allowed to slow down.

I learned this the hard way when I was 15 and dealing with anxiety, even when life got quieter, my body stayed tense and alert.
And now, after more than 20 years of working with people from all walks of life, CEOs, athletes, parents, students, I see the same pattern again and again:

You can’t feel calm if your body still thinks it needs to protect you.

That’s why simple daily resets help so much.
Not because they are “perfect routines,” but because they tell your body:
“You can breathe. You can pause. You’re safe.”

And when your nervous system feels safe, everything shifts, your sleep gets better, your thoughts slow down, and you start the new year with more space, not more burnout.

If you’d like to reset by supporting your nervous system, follow & comment RESET and I’ll send you a short Sophrology practice that helps you unwind and start the new year feeling more grounded, not more exhausted.

👉 I used to think these behaviours were just part of being busy or tired… but they were actually signs my nervous system was overwhelmed.

When sleep doesn’t come, motivation disappears, and even getting dressed feels hard, it’s not laziness. It’s burnout.

Sophrology gave me a way to calm my body and reset, and I’ve been helping others do the same for over 20 years.

💬 Curious what helped me and my clients feel better? Comment Practice and I’ll send you one of the calming techniques we use inside our programmes, you can try it today for free.

✨ Comment REST, and I’ll send you a short practice you can use between tasks, even on the busiest days, so that you can enjoy the holidays.

Every year around this time, I hear the same sentence from so many people (and I’ve said it myself too):
“I’ll finally rest over the holidays.”

But the truth is… most of us go into December already tired.
And then we add shopping, planning, family expectations, emotional load, and the pressure to “enjoy everything.”
So rest becomes another task on the list, instead of something our bodies actually feel.

As a therapist using Sophrologist, I see this all the time: rest doesn’t happen just because the calendar says it’s the holidays.
Your nervous system needs small pauses before the big rest can arrive.

For me, it’s never about having a perfect slow week.
It’s those small moments of breathing space between the busyness, a few quiet minutes where my body actually gets the message:
“You can stop now.”

If this season already feels full, you don’t need to change everything.
Just start with one small pause.

👉 Every year, I hear the same thing from so many people:
“Why can’t I just stay calm during the holidays?”

And over time, I’ve noticed something important, it’s rarely the family dinner itself that creates the tension.
It’s the quiet pressure people put on themselves to handle everything smoothly, stay composed, and not react… even when their body is tightening inside.

That expectation alone can drain your energy before the day even begins.

What actually helps isn’t pushing harder, it’s learning to listen to the early signs in your body: the breath getting shallow, the shoulders rising, the mind speeding up.
When people catch those signals early, they can reset before stress takes over.

This is where Sophrology becomes so helpful.
Small pauses, gentle breathing, grounding your body, these simple tools teach your nervous system how to settle again.

✨ Real calm isn’t perfection.
It’s noticing what you need and giving yourself a moment of support.

If this resonates…

💬 Comment “CALM” and I’ll send you a short Sophrology practice you can use before gatherings, to help your body feel safe before overwhelm kicks in.

👉 I’m someone who likes to be organised, I prepare things early so the month feels easier.
But every December, something unexpected still shows up… and suddenly my mind is going faster than I’d like.

It reminds me of being 15 and dealing with anxiety, when my thoughts ran ahead of me, even if everything looked fine on the outside.

And after years of working with women from all backgrounds, CEOs, athletes, parents, caregivers, I’ve learned this is completely normal.
You can do your best, and life can still feel full.

And I know “pause and breathe” can sound too simple… almost pointless.
But that small moment is often the first chance your body has to slow down.

What helps me now is giving myself tiny breaks during the day, just a few seconds to reset my shoulders, let out a long breath, and come back to myself.
Those little pauses make everything feel more manageable and help avoid stress building up.

If this month already feels busy or messy, you’re not alone.

✨ Comment PRACTICE and I’ll send you a short Sophrology exercise that can help you reset everytime you feel overwhelmed.

👉 I don’t know who needs this today, but you don’t have to sort out everything at once.
Most of the people I work with try to “be okay” overnight… and then feel guilty when they can’t.
I understand that so well, I used to do the same when I struggled with anxiety.

What I’ve seen over the years is that things get lighter when you slow down, not when you push harder.
Your body usually knows what needs attention first, if you give it a bit of space.

If you’re having a lot on your mind lately, be gentle with yourself.
You’re not behind, you’re human.

If you want a little help to settle your nervous system, comment BREATHE and I’ll send you a short practice that helped thousand of people I worked with.

December always reminds me how differently women experience rest.
Not because we’re “bad sleepers,” but because we carry so much, planning, caring, organising, remembering every tiny detail that no one else notices.

And when life gets busier (like right now), our bodies feel it first:
the shallow breaths, the 3am wake-ups, the tight shoulders that don’t relax even when we finally sit down.

One thing I always tell the women I work with is this:
your sleep won’t improve if your nervous system never gets a chance to slow down.

This is why even a short Sophrology pause in your day can make nights easier, your body learns how to switch off before you get into bed.

✨ If you want, I can send you a short sleep-reset practice you can try tonight that helped thousands of people I worked with.
Comment SLEEP and I’ll share it with you.
