EMPOWERED Spaces is a collective of integrative psychotherapists, wellness professionals, yoga teachers, meditation teachers, activists and other helping professionals within a collaborative wellness center. Empowered Spaces works at the intersection of trauma-informed care and social justice to center personal and collecting healing. The mission is to/The collective strives to cultivate connection and resilience through psychotherapy, yoga, meditation, professional development trainings, and community gatherings that are accessible, diverse, and equitable.
Our vision is to collectively create a more mindful, equitable, and compassionate world that willhonor our interdependence, celebrate our diversity, and allow for everyone to live a life of joy and wellness.
Diversity, Equity, and Belonging
At Empowered Spaces, we strive to be accessible, welcoming, and honoring of all individuals. We welcome you exactly as you are, all parts of you, and all of your experiences. We believe in honoring every individual’s lived experience, deeply listening to one another, learning about and honoring all differences. More importantly, we recognize that it is the members of this community who truly create this space.
Our intention is to co-create a collaborative space for building an intentional community. We acknowledge that the ongoing work of building community and solidarity across power differentials—from our different social positions and uneven access to resources and privilege—is messy, complex, and uncomfortable. Knowing that we all carry our own blinds spots, we know that all of us at times will inevitably fall short. We are committed to doing the deep inner work of recognizing our own privilege and internalized systems of oppression, identifying the implicit biases we carry, and holding ourselves accountable.
We believe that learning is never over. We are deeply committed to holding space and attuned presence for acknowledging and healing inherited shadows of racism, sexism, heteronormativity, colonization, and unfair access to power and privilege. To simply use buzzwords is insufficient and harmful. We share in the vision of a just, equitable, and safe society for all, and we are daring to work towards creating the world we want to inhabit.
We are here to learn together in authentic relationships, to cultivate curiosity, and live consciously.
How it works
Each teacher/provider runs their own business within Empowered Spaces. All of our offerings therefore have their own fee and sign up structure established by each individual provider. Find the class or workshop that you would like to join from our schedule of offerings, and then follow the specified sign up or drop in protocol for that event and you will pay the provider directly. Empowered Spaces offers a limited number of need-based scholarships, please email Kelly at kkcaul@yahoo.com for more information.
We all have so much to offer one another, and Empowered Spaces is dedicated to supporting wellness professionals in bringing healing and uplifting programming to the community. These spaces are available for use by wellness professionals looking for a place to support and accommodate their events. Reach out to me for more information about renting space.
