I’m an award-winning clinical hypnotherapist, solution-focused brief therapist, author, mum, and a dog owner.
I am passionate about helping people feel the best they can in life, by overcoming anxieties, fears, pain, and discomfort. My specialist area is helping people with anxiety, IBS, and coping with ill-health conditions.
Living your life with IBS can be exhausting and can hold you back from enjoying your life. I will support you on how you can train your brain to feel calmer and more confident in everyday situations.
In my 20s whilst on holiday in Egypt, I experienced poisoning from contaminated water. I was very ill and my gut has never been the same since. I have experienced bouts of constipation and discomfort for years. I had this for weeks at a time and tried lots of remedies from acupuncture to colonic irrigation to ease the discomfort I was experiencing.
In my 30s I experienced anxiety following a traumatic breakup. My body flared up in an autoimmune response. This left me feeling exhausted with pain in my joints and experiencing weight loss.
In my 40s my marriage ended, I moved country and became a single parent overnight.
I was going through so many changes and my mind was a whirlwind so I went to see a hypnotherapist for some help. Immediately afterward I felt calmer and knew I had the strength to cope with what was ahead.
I realised this is what I wanted to do and signed up for a ten-month hypnotherapy course. I can honestly say it helped me to transform my mind and my life.
I now help others who are struggling with anxiety, illness, and IBS to feel better inside themselves and calm down their body’s stress response.
Let me give you the tools to help you became a calmer and happier version of yourself. I offer a bespoke confidential 1:2:1 service that is tailored to your needs.
Statistics show that in 80% of cases hypnosis works to some degree for IBS. These figures are based on the Manchester Protocol. In addition to the Manchester protocol the solution-focused model which I use includes extra stuff around conversation (psychotherapy) and this increases the success rate.
Please get in touch and I will discuss what I can do to help you.
PS – There are no negative side effects to hypnotherapy,. Some common side effects include sleeping better, feeling more confident, trusting your body more, and being able to do more of the things you love!
