Finishing the week strong 💪

Romanian deadlifts = an absolute weapon for runners 🏃‍♂️
• Build strong glutes & hamstrings for better push-off 👟
• Improve posterior-chain strength (hello speed & efficiency) ⏱️

Couldn’t resist a (huge!) bargain & got myself some “last season” SuperDaps 👟🤩

Took them out for a spin and, while I was aiming for an easy / steady 3.5 mile run, the shoes had other ideas...! 💡

Kept the distance, but ended up with my best time on this regular route of mine… ⏱️

Felt very comfortable & spent all my time in zone 2 - Strava didn’t even acknowledge a gain in fitness points from this record breaker!🔋

Anyway, happy with the purchase of the Super(cheat!)Daps and, seeing as you didn’t ask; Nike Vaporfly04 (2025 edition) 😄

A great fast & flat race that is notoriously hard to get into, and Fliss pulled it out of the bag to win her age group - fantastic running again ! 🏃🏻‍♀️💨

Gutted that my South Devon Coastal Half Marathon got called off in the early hours of the morning 😢

Absolutely the right decision, as the weather had thrown a curve-ball & even fooled the Met Office predictions the day before… 🌬️☔️🌊

So, I came back (driving was “fun”..!) & ran a solo fourteen miler instead 🏃🏻‍♂️

Race day has come back round again ! 🏃🏻‍♂️🏁

An amazing hilly coastal path half marathon race in South Devon tomorrow - courtesy of Endurance Life 🏞️

I’ve done this race a couple of times before, but with quite different results owing to the weather 🌦️

While tomorrow’s race weather is looking ok, it’s p!ssing it down now, so I’m sure it’ll be a very muddy & slippy affair tomorrow… ☔️

Still, all part of the fun & the challenge 😁💪🏼

🛎️ Ring the PB bell ! (Twice!) 🛎️

Super chuffed for all my clients who had great races at the Speedway 10k today 🏃🏻‍♂️💨🥇

A fast, flat road race, catering specifically for the whippersnappers 👀

Particularly pleased with Rhi, far right, & Callum, centre right, (picture orientation, not political ideology!) for both bagging themselves all-time PB’s 🏆🏆

Matt took over a minute off his expected time, & Kelly working on consistently progressive pacing throughout the race (and not buggering herself up in the process..!) 😄💪🏼

On a personal note, my goals were to 1) not get caught up in the excitement of a fast start & then blow up later (mission accomplished), and, 2) manage a 6:15min/mile average pace throughout (6:08m/m was the result, so happy with that!)

🛎️ Ring the PB bell ! 🛎️

This time, I’m taking the glory on this one..! 🥇😁

Well chuffed with a 7-minute course PB at the Polzeath coastal path half marathon today 🥳

Also chuffed for my partner (first time at this race) who powered through in a sprint finish, beating her nearest rival 🏁

Good running conditions & no sign of apocalyptic storms, even when we drove down yesterday 🌪️⛈️🚙🫣

Another great event organised by Endurance Life & my next one is in 2 weeks time in Devon !💯
