This woman is incredibly smart!

My husband had the pleasure of meeting her at a function and I think this is a must SHARE for everyone, especially those who have kids exposed to SM.

I will never forget giving my daughter a cell phone to relieve my own anxiety as she travelled 2 hours on a bus daily to school, only to hear her say many years later…
“Mom I wish you hadn’t!”

We are involuntarily becoming so desensitized to things we could not have imagined even hearing about.
The world we knew is changing so rapidly.

But it is not impossible to turn the clocks back (at least for some period of our day), to switch off and indulge in “playtime.”

It may annoy my husband when he can’t get hold of me, but the highlight of my day is my Shinrin Yoku (as the centenarian Okinawan’s call it).

When I get to breathe in nature and watch my dogs chase each-other across the sandy beach, making friends along the way. When the prefrontal cortex takes over and I am suddenly aware of my breath, my thoughts, the simplicity of the present moment.

It is 5:30am and said dogs have now dramatically stretched their bodies across my path to the coffee machine.

I think they hate this device as much as I do but mine is a love hate working relationship that sometimes keeps me from my own present moment and so, for this year, I have promised myself to clock in and out, reset my algorithms and not to engage in any overtime ⏰

I had a day and a half today! Got back late..reached for the wine and found a vacant space in the fridge! 😩
Luckily I stocked up on these gorgeous, fresh little hake fillets though!

Grated lemon zest, cracked black pepper, sprinkled dill and chili flakes, smeared hot English mustard, drizzled olive oil lovingly….popped in the airfryer for 20 and rushed to the bottle store!

Life is better when it’s balanced 🍷 🐟 ❤️

In short..NO!
Reading the thread on this video, it’s easy to see that so many people try to simplify by blaming just one thing.
SEED OILS, in this case are the easy target.

This is why I teach basic NUTRITION at the beginning of any weight loss or wellness program.
It is vital to have some knowledge with which to apply some basic LOGIC.

When we begin to understand that it is NEVER one thing that disrupts internal systems, elevating APOB, causing dysfunctional hormones, inflammatory conditions, ..excess fat stores..etc etc.. it is a culmination of disrupters that include lack of exercise and poor overall diet, we realize how easy it is to get our health back on track!
How can we expect to send the forces off each day to fight an army of invaders if they are unarmed??

Last year presented itself with a big awakening for me.

Firstly, that you are never too old to learn.

Secondly, that perspective is everything.

Thirdly, in the words of Ricky Gervais, “when you are dead, you do not know you are dead. It’s only painful and difficult for others. The same applies when you are stupid.”

Some people are happy to ignore the Science for the fluff that makes them more comfortable plating up their beef tallow for breakfast, lunch and supper.

Today’s post refers to those couch warriors in particular that are out in full force on every plant based platform they can punt their fat soaked, non factual BS on.

Firstly, why are you here?

I am guessing that although food preference is keeping you loyal to your tribe, logic is pulling you back.

So this post is for you.

If you are here because you’re questioning the healthy lifestyle approach vs the macro elimination mathematical quixotic that is calorie counting, welcome to backed by Science logic.

Even as a complete nutrition novice, you would not be able to stake claim to any pubmed article relating to plant food causing inflammation.

Can the same be said for meat?

I made the entire thing in the wok.

Sautéed green beans in sesame oil, grated ginger and garlic with a splash low sodium soy sauce.

ADDED honey toasted walnuts, cashews, pumpkin and sunflower seeds.

ADDED goats cheese

ADDED cherry tomatoes sautéed olive oil, basil flowers and chili flakes.

ADDED prepped red and white quinoa.

ADDED chopped green apple.

ADDED radish microgreens

ADDED my homemade cashew sundried tomato dressing.

LIVING LIFE IN COLOUR. 🌈

ADD MORE of the right foods, LOSE MORE stored fat!
