🌍HAPPY INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY and HAPPY SUMMER SOLSTICE 🌄

The theme for this year is yoga for wellness! I'm a big advocate for the power of yoga not as a just a physical exercise but as way of maintaining your mental and spiritual health too.

I'm teaching Vinyasa Flow yoga this Wednesday in my studio at Elmwood road, Chiswick at 7:15 pm if you want to book please message me.

Yoga ✨ IN PERSON ✨at St Michael's Centre, 60 Elmwood Rd, Chiswick, London W4 3DZ.

🏡This is a lovely, large and light-filled space, a short walk away from Gunnersbury station (search Elmwood Montessori School in Google maps and you will find the correct entrance).
🧘New weekly class starting Wednesday 16th June 7:15pm -8:15pm
£11 (£6 for students or unemployed)
😊Socially-distanced
😊Small class sizes - first come first served - early booking essential. If you decide to cancel please let me know asap so I can offer the spot to the next person on the wait list

💃Happy International Women’s Day! 💃
This week in my class we will be working with the theme of harnessing the divine feminine - aka Shakti. Shakti is both a goddess and the divine consciousness that runs through all things. By drawing deep into the divine feminine force we can really empower ourselves.

On International Women’s Day and on EVERYDAY I hope as women we can lift each other up and support each other as sisters.

💪7 Ways to Cultivate Resilience in the 2021 Lockdown💪
1. 🐶Reframing to cultivate positivity/optimism
Can I use this lockdown as a gift of time? How can I see the silver lining? How can I use this experience as a learning opportunity? How can I get creative? Can I use this time to upskill myself? Can I nurture my relationships? How can I leave this lockdown better than when I started?

2. 👀Visualisation - what does success look like to me?
Identify what your goals are for the next year
Imagine and visualise yourself achieving these things

3. 🌺Gratitude practice
Each and every day write down at least 5 things you are grateful for in your life. Why are you grateful for them? See them clearly and hold them dearly

5. 🌾Growth Mindset
Embrace challenge as an opportunity to grow. Use feedback to learn. Effort and attitude determine your success. Neuroplasticity means that we are able to train our brains Read about Carol Dweck’s theory. Which areas of your life do you need to shift your mindset about? Avoid limiting yourself because of the situation you are in.

6. 🧠Self-Reflection, Acknowledgement and labeling how we feel

Looking in and observing what is there. Being able to describe how we feel. Often happiness, sadness, anger, all manner of feelings are temporary. It is normal to have ups and downs.

7. 🛀Learn positive coping skills, self-soothing, breathing, yoga, exercising, meditating, nature/outdoors
Figure out what works for you, whether it’s a yoga class, soaking in the bath, walking outdoors or cooking a delicious meal.

🎉NEW FREE 20 MINS BEGINNERS YOGA CLASS🎉
I've just uploaded a new Yoga Class onto YouTube. It's a 20 Minute Sun Salutation sequence which is great for building WHOLE BODY strength and flexibility. These are the traditional, foundational postures within yoga and are essential for beginners and experienced yogis alike. I do these nearly everyday. You'll get a tonne of mental health benefits too, there's something very calming for the nervous system about the repetition of these poses.
