Happy Labor Day! I hope you're taking time to do absolutely nothing and bask in the joy of being!

Are you curious about my group program, EMERGE?
I’d like to invite you to check it out 💁‍♀️
The Emerge ladies and I meet on Monday nights at 7pm PST via Zoom
Here’s what to expect:
🧘‍♀️ We start with a meditation/breath work
👩‍🏫 I offer a short lecture on some of the content from the program
🙋‍♀️followed by shares and reflections.
It’s a different topic each Monday with the last Monday of the month being a restorative stretch class.
Here’s the topic line-up for March:
1st -Anatomy of the Courageous Core
8th- Integrating “little you” with your big goals.
15th- Creating a new relationship with stress
22nd- The stories we tell ourselves.
29th - Stretch & Restore
Drop-in classes are $25 and are about an hour.

I finally asked for help.

Building a business can be challenging. There is so much work that goes in behind the scenes you almost forget what your true profession (passion) is.

I got into wellness, not because it's trendy. In fact, I tend to swim away from nutrition trends and pop-fads. I am awestruck by the ability of the human body and spirit to bounce back.

If you didn't know already, I am the queen of bounce back and know that the journey starts by taking care of the physical body. BELIEVE ME! I've done the research!

I love that with a few simple actions like eating whole foods, managing the nervous system, and creating connections with fellow human beings your body and mind settle down and redirect themselves into their natural state of well-being.

Well, I got help from an amazing service called Practice Better where I'm able to communicate directly with clients. It's a safe and secure online portal where you and I share access to food and mood journals, your weekly goals and homework as well as informational pdf's, personalized meal plans, and my personal favorite meditations recorded by yours truly!

The best thing about getting help is, I don't feel the weight of the business on my shoulders anymore. I can get back to doing what I love, which is working with people who value simplicity, education, accountability and want to create better health in their lives.

If you've been overwhelmed with your weight loss journey or have had trouble sticking to healthy habits, I'd love to take some of the burdens you've been feeling off your shoulders.

I've seen my body, mind, and spirit bounce back and I'd love to assist you with that gift as well.

Happy New Year, friends!

I really enjoy listening to podcasts, one of which is NPR's Pop Culture Happy Hour. Surprising, I know but last year around this time I was invested in gaining all the knowledge I could to help the trivia team I was a part of and pop culture was a place we were lacking. Why I mention this is, on this particular podcast they publicly make predictions and personal resolutions for the coming year and then revisit them a year later during the week of the New Year. Needless to say, most of the predictions and resolutions for 2020 did not come true and it was quite humorous to hear what the hosts thought the promise of 2020 could bring in comparison to the grim reality of what is/was.

If nothing else, 2020 has taught us that we really don't know what's around the next corner and while we strive for control, stability, and predictability sometimes all we can do is surrender and embrace the gifts of the present moment.

I'd like to invite you to sit with the strength you've acquired from the disruption to your sense of normalcy and stability over the last year. Disease festers in places of stagnation and 2020 has most definitely shaken things up personally, nationally, and globally. While we are still in the heart of the messy, next comes the healing and finally gratitude as the light begins to enter the dark night of our collective soul.

Cheers to 2021 and the appreciation of the present moment, the light that has exposed our places of stagnation and disease as well the hope of a journey into equality, love, and collective growth.

3. A movement practice to unravel and reform from past stories to greater vitality.

This is an action-based course that includes educational videos and practices, a meal plan we design together that will support gut health and lower systemic inflammation in the body, as well as guided meditations, bodywork, strengthening, and toning for all-over wellness. Most importantly, there are weekly check-ins via Zoom for connection, support, and accountability.

This program will make you feel better while you're in it. But what's different about this one is the skills you learn here will transform your behaviors and offer you a profound sense of gratitude for the body you have been gifted.

Happy Holidays!

Dear friend,

Happy holiday season and winter solstice! I'm not sure about you, but my body is definitely responding to the change in season.

I'm sleeping deeper and for longer periods of time. I'm craving quiet, cozy, and molasses-like movements. Also, molasses-like cookies : ) Of course, this slow pace can be combative to the expenditure of energy you may need to fulfill your holiday engagements. Fair enough. My gift to you is to remind you to be gentle with yourself.

Protect your energy.

Show up authentically.

Maybe that means sharing quiet space over Zoom with the fam, or stepping away for a bit to rest, or perhaps it means that the four course meal you usually make turns into takeout.

You are a precious being. Respond with your actions and self-talk accordingly.

I'm wishing you a serene and joyous holiday.

There is no one size fits all approach to eating, lifestyle, business, love, grief, vacation, hair care... human beings are complex and come with so many variables. One man’s pasta can be another man’s poison.
That being said... we all have a digestive system!

There are many enzymatic reactions that happen in order for your body to absorb vitamin B-12.
A healthy stomach has to secrete a glycoprotein called Intrinsic Factor
Then the pancreas secretes a protein splitting enzyme that separates the B-12 from its carrier molecule to finally allow the B-12 to be absorbed in the last part of the small intestine called the ileum.
Stress can interfere with the permeability of the gut wall as well as a diet heavy in processed foods, sugar, and alcohol.
Lucky for us, our bodies are resilient Jedi knights and when nourished properly can bounce back quicker than yoda 💫

This is just a snippet from one of my favorite quotes in the world by modern dancer and choreographer, Martha Graham.
From the moment I received my diploma from Bauman College in April of this year to now, I’ve been on a journey to refine what it is I do with my work.
To sum it up, what I believe is this.. it’s our job to keep the channel open.
We do that by eating clean, slowing down, moving the body. Allowing rather than forcing.
I’m gentle with my approach, not out of weakness, but because I know you already come with the internal know-how to heal yourself.
Too much knowledge turns dinner into a math equation. I’d hope to teach and be a part of a community that honors meal time as a chance to connect to the earth, our body and each other.
Point being, I support you with behavioral change, movement practice and nutrition consultations to help you keep your vessel able to hear and respond to what life is calling you to do.
It’s through simple and daily commitments that we make this happen.
