We meet every 1st Tuesday of the month at Holbrook Town Hall at 7pm. We are a group of volunteers: concerned citizens, recovering addicts, and parents, whose mission is to discuss the growing epidemic of drug use in our town, surrounding towns, and state. We hope to reduce substance use and abuse in our community through education and awareness. We gather to discuss what we can do individually and together to end this growing drug epidemic in Holbrook and the surrounding towns. Too many lives have been lost.... Please leave all judgment at the door ... bring your love, care, concern, and ideas. Please spread the word to others who might want to help too. All are welcome at these meetings..... EVERYONE
If you want to help.....come. If you need help.....come. Our young people need our help. We will meet every FIRST Tuesday of each month from 7:00 – 8:30 in the Town Hall. No need to commit to attending every meeting. Come when you can, offer any thoughts you have, invite others to attend. Please remember we are only volunteers trying to make a difference, support those in need and save lives. We are not professionals. We will bring in as any professionals as possible to speak and offer words of wisdom, but we are relaying on others to help with this effort. Please, PLEASE, speak up, make suggestions, and remember this is community effort. We are all in this together. Let’s strategize and learn:
WHO is selling to our kids and WHAT drugs are they selling? WHERE are they selling it? Where are they using it? WHY are these young people starting to use drugs? What we can do to prevent it? HOW can we stop/reduce the selling of drugs in our town? HOW can we prevent kids from starting? HOW can we help those who are already using? Most importantly, how can we accomplish this with love and compassion?
