Our Story
Our purpose is to help IMGs become practicing physicians in the U.S. medical system.
America's aging population is leading to a doctor shortage crisis. As America's population ages and demand outpaces supply, the physician shortage will intensify. International medical graduates are expected to fill the gap in U.S. health care. The United States will need up to 120,000 additional doctors, including a minimum of 42,600 primary care physicians, by 2030, and international medical graduates play an important role in helping alleviate the crisis.
IMGs need trusted guidance and integrated services designed to make their journey to US residency easier and more efficient.
AMC represents International medical schools, students and graduates and serves as a valuable conduit to provide stateside clinical training experience as well as other integrated academic and non-academic related services to qualified International medical students and graduates.
