Every baby deserves a SAFE start to sleep.

Safe sleep can reduce the risk of sleep-related infant deaths and help protect our smallest patients. A few simple steps make a big difference:

 Back to sleep for every sleep
 Firm, flat sleep surface
 No blankets, pillows, or stuff animals in the crib
 Room share without bed sharing

Education saves lives, and we are excited to share resources with our community!

Join us at our Maternity Fair
Saturday, April 18, 2026
1000 – 1500

Come learn about safe sleep, newborn care, breastfeeding support, and resources for our growing families. Bring your questions and meet the team dedicated to helping families start strong.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Medal of Honor Recipient U.S. Army Private First Class Bryant Homer Womack
Today, we remember the extraordinary heroism of U.S. Army Private First Class Bryant Homer Womack, a medic whose selfless sacrifice during the Korean War continues to inspire.
On March 12, 1952, Pfc. Womack's night combat patrol was ambushed by a much larger enemy force, resulting in numerous casualties. With complete disregard for his own safety, he exposed himself to a barrage of enemy fire to render aid to his fallen comrades.
Even after being seriously wounded, he refused medical attention for himself. He was struck a second time by a mortar, which resulted in the loss of his right arm. Knowing he would not survive without immediate aid, Pfc. Womack continued to refuse help, insisting that other wounded soldiers be treated first. He remained on the battlefield, directing others in first-aid techniques until he was the last man to withdraw. He collapsed from blood loss and died shortly after, carried by the very men he fought to save.
For his conspicuous gallantry and unwavering devotion to his fellow soldiers, Pfc. Womack was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. His legacy lives on at the Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, a testament to a man who embodied the highest ideals of the U.S. Army.
