It’s back for another year,Salen charities fair is booked to be on Saturday 8th November in Salen school. Please get in touch if any local charity of community group would like to book a table. Huge thank you to Tobermory RNLI Lifeboat for inviting us along today, we thoroughly enjoyed this well organised event with lots of fun for locals and visitors alike. A further thanks to all the RNLI volunteers for the warm welcome. Lots of fun stalls and the raft race was great. We hope a great amount has been raised for this important life line service that we hope never to need the assistance of.

The countdown is on! Two weeks to go until Tobermory Lifeboat Day 2025. Come along for a great day and help support us to save lives at sea.

Delighted to place our 4th “Blether bench” today at the brow of the hill outside the Salen Hotel with a view over the Salen loop Forrest, thanks to Gerry and Claire for allowing us to place this there for our community. We have further benches to go out in Dervaig and Fionnphort once we have permission from the council. Unless anyone can suggest another spot in the mentioned villages that’s publicly accessible. The “Blether benches” have been funded with the generous help of the Q charitable trust. We hope many people can benefit from a rest and some time for them self.

Hi all safe and sound won’t be on next week 31st July due to another commitment, but we look forward to seeing and chatting to people at the following:-
Bunessan show on the 1st August,
RNLI day in Ledaig car park Tobermory 10th August
Salen show 13th August

Then we will be back on as normal Thursday 14th August.
