Had such a blast at the yesterday πŸ―πŸ† I was truly inspired being surrounded by so many strong-minded people. I'm super premature in this sport (having only done one show), but I truly love to be involved with it. I do see a future for myself as an , but in due time. In the meantime, I'm working on some exciting entreprenurial things πŸ€“ and enjoying my time spent as a trainer and spin instructor. Riding this wave of normalcy right meow 😸Normalcy in the sense that I feel grounded, stable, and in control of my wellbeing. My relationship with food is healthy for the first time in nearly 10 years. I am making strides toward advancing my career, growing as a student and bodybuilder, and not worrying so much about the future. Sometimes we get so caught up in feeling like we need to be busy or in a state of stress to feel like we're making progress. But more often that not, the best progress happens when you find your groove and just cruise. That's not to say you should only tred in smooth waters, but "hardwork" doesn't have to mean sacrificing your mental health πŸ’š πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

Scale's going back up, muscles feel full, strength is πŸ’― Put myself on a meal plan to ensure I was eating enough of the right foods, and I feel good!! I was sick of stumbling along next to the track and decided to get back on it. Sometimes you need to give yourself a nice kick in the ass 😬 Classes started back up, and I'm happy to have my routine back. This year seems to have happened at warp speed, so I'm making the absolute most of the next few months. Working on building up the best parts of me & accepting the ones I can't change, growing professionally and personally, nurturing my relationships & hopefully building new ones. Strive to be your best self πŸ–€

When you finally start to feel balanced again ☺️ πŸ™Œ It's so easy to get overwhelmed/overdone and not even realize it. Irritability, persistent exhaustion, unexplained lack of appetite...these are all signs that you might need some "you" time. Whatever helps you reset and decompress - be it alone time, spending time with friends, or a little of both - make the time for it. We're all busy, and I'm sure we all forget to make our health a priority sometimes, but you can't have 100% output of a poorly oiled machine πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ If you feel like you're floundering or can't find your footing, go back to your roots - to what you most identify with. Having a strong sense of self-identity instills not only confidence, but that feeling of control when everything seems to up in the air πŸ™

I’ve always kind of felt like I never quite fit in anywhere. I am generally a very quiet person, and a lot of people interpret this is as me being standoffish or disinterested. But in reality, I’m just listening and observing - taking everything in. Anyone else struggle with feeling like the black cat of the crowd? This is why I was drawn to bodybuilding. I feel like it attracts the so-called β€œoutcasts”. The dedication that lifting entails requires a certain kind of person who likes to live in the extremes. I feel like I finally found my niche where others understand me πŸ™ It’s hard for me to fight the feeling that I need to justify myself to others or to explain myself because society makes us feel like we have to. But here’s the thing - you don’t owe justification to ANYONE. Be your weird self, speak few words, be overwhelmingly outgoing, do whatever makes you happy. I’m sick of trying to prove myself to people. Either you accept me as I am or see ya πŸ‘‹ @ Retro Fitness - Bethlehem, PA
