Want to stop gassing out in the 3rd period? 💪

If you spend all week preparing for weigh-ins only to have nothing left in the tank when you get on the mat, this is for you:

Here’s what my top athletes do to max out their energy for tournaments👇

✅ Focus on rapid digesting carbs right after weigh-ins

Carbs are the bodies main fuel source during anaerobic activity aka your main fuel during a match. Ditch the protein, fat and fiber unless you have several hours between weigh-ins and a match.

✅ Rehydrate with 16-24 fl oz per lb of water weight lost

Replenishing fluid is critical to be functioning at 100%. Don’t have time to fully hydrate after weigh-ins? Start with 16 fl oz and continue to sip on water throughout the day.

✅ Replenish electrolytes (sodium and potassium)

Electrolytes are critical to rehydration and being properly fueled. If you cramp often on the mat, this is probably why.

Most wrestlers think running extra or eating less will make the scale drop — but often it backfires.

When you cut too aggressively or dehydrate too early, your body releases 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲 (𝗔𝗗𝗛) and holds onto water. 💧

That’s why you can feel drained, gassed out, and still see almost no change on the scale.
