Your CenterPeace Inc.

Your CenterPeace Inc. At CenterPeace we believe in healthy marriages and whole families. Everyone knows someone who has been touched by divorce.

In fact every 15 minutes 25 marriages end in divorce, 70% of inmates are from homes where there was divorce and 36% of daughters from divorce will have an unwed pregnancy. In January of 2013 'Your CenterPeace' founder, Brooke, had a vision of creating a wedding venue that did more than to provide a place for a wedding, but to prepare the couple for the journey of marriage. During daily meditation

the ideas kept coming and she journaled for months before sharing the vision. Today we have three CenterPeace programs, SYMBIS facilitation, Marriage Mentoring and pre-marriage and marriage enrichment classes. The vision of CenterPeace is to create a self-sustaining marriage center, that will help strengthen families and lower the divorce rate by doing two things, help marriages start well, develop well and survive crisis and provide a beautiful wedding venue to create income for the marriage strengthening services. CenterPeace is an organization and resource that you can point your hurting friends and family to for relational encouragement.

Really sit with this one for a second.

Yes, trust is earned- not freely given. But when we decide to trust someone, there is still an understanding that we are not 100% sure of what they do, say, or think, because there is no possible way to be certain of that.

Trusting your judgement is a way to honor and respect your relationship. When you trust yourself, you're more easily able to trust your partner.

Yes, your friends may have mentioned them before.⁣

Maybe you've even tried them out with your partner. ⁣

But are you using your "I" statements correctly?⁣

"I" statements are used to express to the people around us how their actions impact us. It gets tricky, though.⁣

People can naturally become defensive when we give feedback, or even use the word "you." "I" statements help center the conversation around our emotions and bring some of those walls down.⁣

Check out these tips for when practicing your "I" statements!⁣

While we can't expect to be on the same page 100% of the time in our relationships, it is important we are problem solving and collaborating when it comes to the big conflicts we have in our relationships.

When conflict goes unresolved, it isn't great for your relationship- above are a few reasons why.

Conflict is a normal and healthy part of relationships, but can be challenging for many. If you're struggling navigating conflict with your partner, a couples therapist or coach may be a good option.

And as always, our marriage mentors are waiting and ready for engaged couples!

Can you guess what this is in reference to? 👀🔥

When it comes to s*x, quality is better than quantity. All couples have differing quantities when it comes to s*x, but what matters more is how much joy and pleasure you get from the s*x you are having.

The purpose of boundaries isn't to keep others out- it's to regulate the amount of access another person has to us in order to create a regulated, symbiotic relationship.

Ask yourself this question this the next time you set a boundary:

"Is this boundary intended to bring us closer together, even if that means time apart?"

Do you know the difference between enmeshment and codependency?⁣

Enmeshment is when we do not engage in activities outside the relationship. Examples can be doing all the same things as your partner, saying "no" to plans that do not involve your partner, and not having space away from the relationship.⁣

Codependency, on the other hand, involves when we attempt to care for our partners in a way that that they do not care for themselves. This can be scheduling appointments for them without them asking, doing all the chores around the house, or providing excessive emotional support.⁣

If enmeshment or codependency are present in your relationship, it does not mean it's doomed! A professional may be helpful in untangling the dynamic. ⁣
