We’re excited to share that we have partnered with ModuleMD to offer enhanced Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) services through the ModuleMD platform. Our partnership was born organically, as several ModuleMD clients have successfully partnered with Aluna to remotely monitor patients’ daily FEV1 readings, symptoms and medication usage. A spirometer measures Forced Expiratory Volume Over One Second (FEV1) and Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEF).

FEV1 is the maximum volume of air a person can exhale from the lungs in one second after taking as big a breath as possible. PEF is the maximum speed a person can blow air out of the lungs after taking as big a breath as possible.

Studies have shown that regularly reviewing FEV1 or PEF with a licensed healthcare professional can help individuals with asthma, COPD, and other lung diseases better manage their conditions.
