What’s the story about Mower County Public Health’s H.E.R.O. campaign?
Have you ever dreamed of being a hero?
Today is your chance! Mower County Public Health has been invited to participate in United Way of Mower County’s Student Service Week (June 9th – June 13th).
Join us for one of our two Health Emergency Response Operations (H.E.R.O.) sessions and boost your emergency response and preparedness skills!
What we have to offer:
-Mower County Public Health’s PHEP (Public Health Emergency Preparedness) team will guide you on how to prepare you and your family, your neighborhood, and your community for any emergency.
-Have the opportunity to become a community champion and learn about the MNResponds volunteer network, a critical partner for Public Health during emergencies.
-In partnership with the American Heart Association, you'll get CPR and First Aid certified, equipping you with essential skills to provide aid when needed.
-Receive 3 hours of volunteering towards your volunteer requirements.

H.E.R.O. Session Information:
-Date and Time of Programs: June 12th (Thursday) at 3:30PM – 6:30pm AND June 13th (Friday) at 3:30PM – 6:30PM.
-Duration: 3 hours
-Location: Vault/Ballroom Conference Room (Main Floor) at the Government Building (201 1st St NE, Austin, MN 55912)
Only 10 slots per session. Spots are limited and reserved for students.
