Steeple businesses are OPEN.
Water main works have closed part of the B1018, but local access to Steeple is maintained. Ignore the giant loop on the official diversion — the usual cut-through roads are two-way and well-maintained.
We’ve asked Essex Highways/Essex & Suffolk Water to fix poor sign placement and put up the promised “Business as usual / Access maintained” boards.
Coming to Marine House? If a sign says ROAD CLOSED, you can still proceed for access into Steeple. If you need turn-by-turns, message me and I’ll guide you in. Drive carefully near the works and bends.
