Ottawa just quietly backed down on their cloned-meat policy update… after massive pushback from Canadians and industry.

Here’s what this really means.

For months, the federal government pushed ahead with a policy that farmers didn’t support, consumers didn’t trust, and the public never asked for. Now they’re admitting they’ve received “significant input” and are indefinitely pausing the entire update.

Translation?
They got caught rushing a major change with zero transparency.

At a time when food prices are already crushing families, Canadians don’t need more confusion, more risk, or more political experiments in the grocery aisle. We need clarity. We need honesty. And we need a government that actually listens before acting.

Canadians spoke up. Ottawa blinked.
Good. Now let’s make sure this stays paused… permanently.
