Abby is passionate about providing personalized, patient-centered dermatologic care. She graduated cm laude from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Science and went on to earn her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies with high honors from South University.

Prior to PA school, she worked as a medical assistant in dermatology, building a strong foundation in medical skin care. She further expanded her training through a dedicated dermatology elective during PA school. Abby is committed to ensuring every patient feels heard, supported, and confident in a treatment plan tailored to their individual goals.

She is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine and board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Kristen knew early on she was meant to become a Physician Assistant. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from George Mason University before completing a second Bachelor’s degree in Medical Science and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. She began her career in internal medicine before pursuing her true passion… dermatology!

Since 2017, she has been providing comprehensive skin exams, biopsies, and treatment for a wide range of dermatologic conditions. She works closely with Dr. Brelsford to deliver thoughtful, patient-centered care and ensure every patient feels informed and confident in their plan. Proudly serving Northern Virginia and calling Loudoun County home.

From serving as a Senior Medical Officer in the United States Navy to building a private dermatology practice rooted in compassionate, comprehensive patient care, her career has always been defined by service and excellence. 
 
Today, she proudly serves patients of all ages across Northern Virginia, delivering state-of-the-art medical, surgical, laser, and cosmetic dermatology care with precision and heart.
