Sleep, stress management, food, exercise, music, art, family and friends, are all powerful medicines.

In fact, they’re more powerful than popping pills, but they take more time, effort and energy. And our medical system isn’t set up to approach health and healing from such a broad, holistic perspective.

So it’s up to you to choose your path: the path of popping pills, or the path to personal power.

One of the biggest shifts in this work is moving from seeing the body as a collection of separate parts to understanding it as an integrated system.

A symptom is rarely just a symptom. A gland is not only a gland. A stress response is not happening in isolation. The body is constantly communicating across systems, adapting, compensating, and responding as a whole.

The more you begin to understand those relationships, the more precise and meaningful the work becomes.

This is often the point where people realise that what looked complicated before was not actually random. It was connected.

And once you start seeing the body that way, it is very hard to unsee it.

This is a big part of what I love teaching in Simply the Brain 2, because it helps practitioners move beyond isolated information and into a much more connected way of working.

The New Moon energy in Aries, serving as a powerful "cosmic clean slate" for setting fresh intentions, starting new projects, and embracing bold, independent action.

No matter what your own sign is, this month you may feel the need to put yourself first, by becoming the best version of you that you can be, to be there for others as a leader, an inspiration, an example of ‘how it’s done’.

This lunation acts as a major turning point, encouraging personal growth and a re-evaluation of life paths over the next six months.

You’ll want quick results under this lunar energy, but aim to gather momentum gradually. What will your sign do, starting this month?

There isn’t a direct physical connection where your eyes are “linked” to your stomach by a single structure, but they are closely related through several body systems; mainly the nervous system, blood circulation, and overall health.

1. Brain and nerve pathways
Both the eyes and the stomach are connected to the brain. The eyes send visual information through the optic nerve, while the stomach communicates through nerves like the vagus nerve. The brain coordinates both—so things like stress or emotions can affect your stomach (causing nausea or “butterflies”) and sometimes your vision (like blurred vision during anxiety).

2. The gut–brain axis
This is a well-known concept in biology called the gut-brain axis. Your digestive system and brain constantly send signals to each other. Since vision is processed in the brain, disturbances in the gut (like illness or poor nutrition) can indirectly influence how you feel visually—fatigue, dizziness, or trouble focusing.

3. Nutrition link
Your stomach helps digest and absorb nutrients that are critical for eye health:
Vitamin A → essential for vision (deficiency can cause night blindness)
Omega-3 fatty acids → support retina health
If your stomach or digestion isn’t working well, your eyes can suffer over time.

4. Reflexes and sensations
There are also reflex connections. For example:
Seeing or smelling food can trigger stomach activity (salivation, gastric juices)
Severe stomach issues (like vomiting) can temporarily affect vision due to pressure changes or dehydration

5. Illness connections
Some conditions affect both systems. For instance:
Dehydration from stomach illness can lead to dry or tired eyes
Certain systemic diseases (like diabetes) affect both digestion and vision

So while the eyes and stomach aren’t directly “connected” in a simple mechanical way, they’re part of an integrated system where the brain, nerves, and nutrition tie them together.

Sudden, room-spinning dizziness—especially when rolling over in bed or looking up—is often linked to a condition called Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). It happens when tiny calcium crystals (otoconia) in your inner ear move out of place and disrupt your balance system.
A well-known technique called the Epley maneuver is used by doctors and physical therapists to help reposition these crystals using gravity and specific head movements. When done correctly, it can significantly reduce symptoms.
However, it’s important to keep a few things clear:
It’s not always instant or permanent—some people need repeated sessions
It should ideally be guided by a professional, especially the first time
Not all dizziness is BPPV, so proper diagnosis matters
If your symptoms match BPPV, this maneuver can be very effective—but accuracy and safety are key.
Simple takeaway:
Your inner ear acts like a balance system, and when it’s disrupted, targeted movements—not guesswork—can help restore it.
