As 2024 comes to a close, we wrapped up the year with a memorable end-of-year function at the Vaal Dam✨🌅
This year’s celebration was a little different, offering a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and team bonding. From delicious food and fun activities to a rejuvenating spa experience, we made the most of our time together.

Meet Erika Schutte, our dedicated Practice Manager who joined our team in December 2019! 🌟
With 28 years of experience as a medical receptionist and personal assistant, Erika expertly manages appointments, account inquiries, and administrative tasks at our Ear and Eye Clinic. Her extensive background includes roles in dentistry, radiology, ophthalmology, and optometry.

Outside of work, Erika enjoys farming and hunting on the family farm and cherishes time with her son 🌾🍃

With a background working alongside a cardiologist in Johannesburg, Nina expertly manages appointments, medical aid queries, and all administrative tasks at our Brackenhurst location. She’s also become quite handy with hearing aid repairs 😉
As the friendly face and voice of our practice, she’s always ready to assist—whether it’s changing a hearing aid battery or helping to keep your little ones entertained.

Nina is committed to continuous improvement, regularly attending courses on medical aid schemes, bookkeeping, and account management to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her son and staying active with running and walking on the weekends.

Meet Nicole, who joined our team in January 2020! 🎉 With a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Therapy from the University of the Witwatersrand and valuable experience from Baragwaneth Hospital, Nicole brings a wealth of knowledge to our practice. 🌟 She’s registered with the HPCSA and iCAN, and specializes in school-aged language and literacy, as well as running our hearing screening program for our loval primary and nursery schools👂
Nicole’s expertise in diagnostic hearing tests and hearing aid fittings ensures personalized care for her patients.
When she’s not working, Nicole is passionate about dance and co-owns a dance studio, balancing her love for speech-language therapy, audiology, and dance. 💃✨

🌟 Meet Lisa 🌟 Owner and Director, Speech-Language Therapist, and Audiologist with over 24 years of expertise.

With a BA and Master’s in Speech Pathology from the University of the Witwatersrand (both with distinction), Lisa has extensive training in paediatric Neurodevelopmental therapy, feeding, and speech production disorders. She’s also LSLSA certified in auditory verbal therapy for children with hearing loss.

Lisa’s fascination with the brain and communication drives her work in both audiology and speech-language therapy. Passionate about supporting children with hearing loss, she’s a key member of the Johannesburg Cochlear Implant Programme (JCIP) and offers community services at Queenshaven Retirement.

She’s registered with HPCSA and is actively involved with several professional associations, including SASLHA, SAAA, SACIG, SANDTA, and iCAN. When she’s not working, Lisa enjoys playing the flute and piano, cooking, and spending time with her two children. 🎵🍲👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
