4 steps to reduce injury (chiropractic can assist directly with two of them)

1. CORE. The injuries that occur well into a marathon often stem from your core and hips mobility and endurance. Your chiropractor can perform an assessment on your core and muscle activation.

2. STRENGTH TRAINING. Injury prevention beats cure. Correct muscle activation and endurance is vital in this as ground forces travel through your body.

3. BALANCE. Running involves springing your bodyweight onto one foot at a time. Balance is vital in ensuring correct loading through the joints. A visit to your chiropractor to assess your joint mobility and alignment is a must before running up millage on your body

4. FOOTWEAR. Not just shoes but socks too! Your shoes should provide cushioning and allow for easy striking while your socks should allow for wiggle room - toe movement! Your feet cannot absorb force efficiently when scrunched up together.
