Hi, I’m Yvette - owner of Anavah SHEQ Consultants.
My journey into Health & Safety didn’t start in an office… it started on a gym floor.
I began as a personal trainer at Virgin Active, where I needed to complete my First Aid certification. What started as a requirement quickly became something more - I found myself genuinely interested in what it takes to help people in critical moments.
That curiosity led me further.
I went on to qualify as a Basic Ambulance Assistant (BAA) and worked with Netcare, as well as an off-terrain rescue company. Through those experiences, I was exposed not only to emergency response, but also to the health and safety side of operations.
And that’s where everything shifted.
I realised I didn’t just want to treat injuries…
I wanted to understand how to prevent them.
From there, I pursued my NEBOSH International Certification and specialised in International Oil & Gas handling. Living in a smaller town at the time, I leaned into supporting local businesses - helping them understand compliance, improve safety, and navigate legislation in a practical, human way.
Eventually, I made the move to Ballito.
Not just for a change of scenery - but to build something meaningful. To serve a growing community, support local businesses, and grow into the person I always knew I could be.
That’s how Anavah was born.
I’m not the kind of consultant who arrives in a full corporate suit - I show up as a real person, working alongside you to make compliance simple, structured, and manageable.
And if you ever do spot me out and about…
