I’m Tarryn—a physio with a passion for pelvic health, a business owner, a wife, a mom, and somehow still standing!! I am passionate about seeing my patients walk into healing and wholeness and count what I do as an incredible privilege and blessing!! When I’m not helping people feel better, I’m juggling family life, running a practice, and serving as a church leader. Life is busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

The past 3 days I had the wonderful privilege of travelling to Cape Town and helping my husband out with an ergonomics assessment. I was also able to tag along to a talk by -an incredible woman who heads up My Sexual Health. What a privilege it is work alongside such a passionate talented Dr and to be a part of this incredible team and to work in the arena of s*xual and pelvic health! ̇lovemyjob

Today I share a post of a more personal nature, not to focus on me but rather on the importance of regular breast checks and mammograms. In 2021 the Drs noted a micro calcification on my mammogram, it had increased slightly in March 2023 and they asked me to return for review in September. By September the calcification had changed and increased and I was advised to have a steriotatic biopsy of the breast. Unfortunately the position of the lesions and the many blood vessels overlying made a biopsy impossible. The surgeon’s suggestion was to remove the calcifications by a lumpectomy (breast surgery which uses a guide wire to assist the surgeon on where to cut.) I had the lumpectomy done on 20th October and praise God all the tests came back clear so NO cancer!! The process of healing has been slower than impatient me would like but I am grateful for the caring surgeon Dr Pramod Reddy and for the staff at Wedderburn-Maxwell Radiology who were so kind and gentle with me!
Ladies -DO NOT NEGLECT YOUR MAMMOGRAMS AND REGULAR BREAST CHECKS! Prevention is always key and early detection saves lives!!
