I am so excited and honoured to share that some of my PhD work has been published in an international sport journal.

Although my research was inspired by my love for CrossFit and the powerful journeys of women in sport, the heart of this work goes far beyond sport. It is about identity, resilience, healing, and the ways we reconnect with ourselves and our bodies. This is the same work I feel privileged to do every day with my clients. Whether you are an athlete or not, and regardless of your background, the process of building confidence, setting boundaries, healing, and stepping into your authentic self is universal.

Thank you to every client who has trusted me to be part of your journey. Your courage, vulnerability, and growth inspire me and shape the work that I do. Here is to continuing to create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

Beyond performance — athletes and professionals alike. You are more than what you do.

I work a lot with children in play therapy.
Over time, I have noticed how change is deeply relational. There is laughter, testing, and repair in the play. And often, around six sessions in, children begin to settle, trust deepens, and meaningful shifts start to occur.

So many New Year body goals are not personal failures or successes. They are socially constructed.

Learned over time. Repeated often. Rarely questioned.

What would it be like to pause before agreeing to the pressure?

Welcome 2026

A new year, and I’m really grateful to be here.

In 2026, I’ll be offering psychological and sport psychology support in

📍 Ballito at CrossFit Ballito
📍 Umhlanga once a week at The Athlete’s Room

I work with children, teens, adults, and athletes, supporting people through anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, and performance pressure — always with a strong focus on the mind–body connection.

Therapy doesn’t mean something is wrong. Sometimes, it simply means you don’t want to do things alone anymore.

If this feels like the right time for support, you’re welcome to reach out.

As a psychologist and co owner of a gym, I have witnessed the transformative power of community again and again. I have seen confidence grow, depression ease, anxiety quieten, and resilience strengthen not just through training, but through belonging. When people move together, they build self-belief, model courage, and remind each other they are not alone. This is why I encourage my clients to find group based movement for both physical and mental health.

My approach is simple — no frills, no fluff. Just real, honest, human connection.

I am person-centred, I listen without judgement, and I value the power of words — how we speak about ourselves shapes how we feel about ourselves. You are not defined by your problems — the problem is the problem, not you.

I ask thoughtful, gentle questions that help you see things differently and give space to what hasn’t been spoken yet.

We work collaboratively. We keep it real.
And after each session, I send a feedback email with what we explored and small practices you can try between sessions — because change grows in the everyday moments.

Rings for grounding. Movement for healing.

In my play therapy work, I weave movement into the therapeutic process because children don’t process emotions through talking alone — they process them through doing.

The gymnastics rings have become one of my favourite grounding tools.Hanging, swinging, and moving help little bodies regulate their nervous systems, release tension, and find calm in a way that feels safe and natural.

Movement becomes a pathway to emotional safety. Play becomes a bridge to healing.
And the body becomes the place where children learn strength, confidence, balance, and self-regulation.

This is embodied therapy — where grounding meets growth, and movement supports emotional healing.
