Reimagine.

“a thunderstorm is the inevitable outcome of battling elemental forces" You can, Survive, The Elemental Project. Survival Guide. Please read this, there is very important information here! Surviving the Elemental Project and our events or activities is very easy. Take care of yourself! We are inspired by self reliance, and it needs constant rethinking. Bring what you need to survive, w

ater and food. Camping and cooking equipment. Proper and warm clothes. Decent shoes. Your personal first aid and medical kits. Personal medicines and preventions. Flashlights. Discuss with your kids and other dependants what they might see and experience on our lovely farm, event dependant there might be altered or even naked participants. Set your boundaries and discuss your relationships. To each other, the site and this existence. Dress up and fancy dress encouraged! Occasionally we might have food and water for sale but it is not a given. Bring what you need! We have several towns, close by if you need to go out. For the immersive experience and immediacy. Park and do not drive, if you don't absolutely need to. There are kids and families everywhere, driving is unsafe. Stick to the roads. No driving after dark! Reverse park and enjoy the break. Cycle or walk. When you can, catch a zebra ride. No 4x4 ing. Off road bikes, 4 wheelers and the like are not allowed, they are bad for our local wildlife, farm animals and residents. If you are on a motor bike please stay slow and at low revolutions until you are offsite. We have toilets and showers. Please bring toilet paper and a flashlight. Check them in the dark... you never know. Please do not put anything in the toilets or shower drains, that doesn't belong there. These pits are organic. We have Dongas. (a dry gully, formed by the eroding action of sinkholes) don't worry they are stable. Please do not fall into them, if you do and cannot climb out, it will turn into a long walk to get out, and home. We have some native snakes and other bugs living on the farm, It is way more afraid of you, than you are of it, make some noise, it will move away. If it does need removing please call for local help. Please do not kill anything! They are good for us. There is livestock, cats, dogs and bees onsite, stay away from them if you don't like them. Pet them if you do. How to get to the Elemental Project; We are hosted on Just B Farm, near Barberton. Type: The Elemental Project into google maps and it will bring you straight to us. From the N4. We strongly recommend using the R33 to Carolina and then the R38 to Barberton, this takes you along the Genesis Route, and is one of the most beautiful drives in South Africa. If your favourite motor car show knew about these roads, they would film there all the time! Take it slow, take in the views, stop along the way and support our local businesses and communities. We are inspired by Leaving no Trace, pack it in, take it out! Leave the space better than when you found it, We recommend 5 Litre water bottles for rubbish, you can fill it with weeks worth of rubbish, it is easy to put in the bin when you get home. It wont tear, doesn't smell and the local critters cannot open it. Burn the organics. Check the descriptions, on the events and activities you are attending. They have additional information. Ours is a safe space to rest, unwind. Create, learn and unlearn. Enjoy it. Be safe! Inspired by the inspirations of Burning Man and its community. Inspired by the real world. Reimagining the principles. Be excellent to yourself, and each other! Any queries welcomed at; hello@theelemetalproject.co.za
