**Our Thursday Library Visit:**

Today, we are celebrating "World Pizza Day" in partnership with the local library.

First, the children created their own chef's hats and then crafted pizzas using various arts and crafts materials. They named their pizzas and presented them to the other groups.

It is amazing to see how creative our young ones are!

We would like to thank the local library for joining us and making the session even more enjoyable.

Staff Spotlight

Meet Fabian Krause, our chef, who is responsible for providing youngsters with a warm and nutritious meal every day.

Fabian has been working as the chef of the Net Vir Pret for more than 6 years, but has been part of Net Vir Pret since the organisation started. He began as a child in the programmes, became a young leader, and progressed to be, today, our chef.

Fabian does not just cook, he is also the head of our housekeeping. He makes sure that the building is clean and ready for the youngsters to attend. He is also in charge of the unisex salon we have, where he makes sure that our kids get looked after and properly prepped for school.

When asked about his motivation, he stated, " What makes me rise up every morning is knowing that I am doing it for the children of our community. I want to make sure that every belly gets filled, because in some houses our kids do not have any food to eat."

Programme In Focus: After Care

The After Care programme is the first step our youngsters take when entering Net Vir Pret. This is where we lay the foundation for what's to follow. But as our director, Sudonia Kouter, stated: "This is where our youngsters feel safe."

The After-Care Programme works with more than 50 children daily, and within the programme, we encourage fun and creative learning. As our kiddies progress through the programme, you can clearly see the change in their behaviour. This keeps the youngsters off the streets and in a safe space.

The programme covers the following:
1. Fine Motor Skills Development;
2. Social and Emotional development;
3. Creative storytelling and kiddies theatre;
4. Physical development in our open play area; and
5. Teamwork activities.

We are proud to introduce our After-Care Programme and encourage every parent to enroll their children in our programme.
