The “Fat Busta Challenge” is a concept I came up with together with my dad, Michael Mcloughlin, owner of Active Attitude Health & Fitness Centre situated in Beacon Bay, East London, also known to many as “THE CASTLE”
It all started in 2011 with a small group of ladies that were originally my personal training clients. All of them being if similar weight, we decided that we would weigh weekly and s
ee who had lost the most weight, bit of a friendly competition. That got me thinking on a bigger scale. It took me a few days to think of the right name, but then it hit me, “Fat Busta Challenge”. The name itself explains exactly what it is. It is a challenge where you compete with yourself, with your goals, your wants and your own personal targets. The concept
The concept was to put people together who all have a common goal, want to make a change, but do not have the motivation to do it themselves. Remember, being healthy isn’t only about losing weight, but about being more knowledgeable when it comes to what your body wants and what you think it needs. Is this challenge only for “smaller people” or can anyone take part? Anyone can take part It originally was more directed at people over 120kgs, but over the past 5 years I have had people from 70kgs to 160kgs and they have all made INCREDIBLE progress. I do a variety of exercises, taking in to account some of the larger people are unable to do all activities, therefore the program has to balanced and fair for each individual. I not only train them, but I educate them on how they should train, how they should eat, what they shouldn’t eat. You take part in various outdoor activities, you are weighed weekly, measurements can be taken upon request, personalized eating plans are drawn up for each individual and goals are set accordingly. How long is the program? We now run two types of programs. One can be 6 to 7 weeks as well as a more intense 12 weeks program. However, each program is different. . Nutrition
This is a large part of becoming healthier and fitter. Throughout the challenge you are given nutritional advice and are free to ask any questions you have. Previously I have held a nutritional talk with Michael Mcloughlin and he has elaborated further on how exactly food and the body function as a whole. Do I have to count my calories? No, each meal plan has been designed and structured with the right amount of calories . All you have to do it follow the meal plan provided and watch your body change
Battle to do it alone ? Don’t worry, I am available 7 days a week through the program for motivational guidance, assistance and to keep you on the path ahead. My goals become your goals, I want you to succeed. Your success is mine. Does this challenge work? The challenge has worked for many people and has changed their lives in various positive ways. The concept is not only about losing weight, but gaining knowledge and confidence. It is about becoming your OWN body goals! Nobody can do this for you, you have to want it, but having a good support system can go a long way. Is skinny the only goal to perfection? Social media that people constantly show us the “perfect” body, which is always flawless not so, well not everyone considers skinny and toned as perfect, society has deemed us to think that that is the only acceptable body, but in truth, the perception you have of perfection is only truth that matters. The Fat Busta Challenge values health and fitness more important than being skinny. What you should aspire for, is fit and toned. Strong is the new sexy
Is this program safe? This program is safe and extremely effective, but it requires energy, consistency, 100% commitment & 100% effort! I can only help you so much, it comes down to you in the end, it’s easy to train a hour a day, but it’s the other 23 hours of your day you need to be prepared for. Anything is possible if you just believe you are worth it !!!
