Little legs, big adventure! 🏔️💚
This past weekend we decided to take on Table Mountain as a family — one of the easier routes, but still quite a climb for little Hannah (4) and Connor (6)!

It definitely took us a bit longer than it would have on our own, but with plenty of encouragement (and a few snack stops along the way), they made it all the way to the top. The pride on their faces was priceless.

As a paediatrician and a mom, I’m reminded how important it is to model the behaviours we want our children to learn. Staying active, embracing the outdoors, and approaching challenges with a positive mindset — these are lessons they’ll carry for life.

Here’s to moving more together, one small step at a time. 👣💚

Now that I’ve finally found my feet, I just want to say a huge thank you to all my wonderful patients for the love, support and encouragement you’ve shown me. It truly means the world.

I miss you all back home so much, but I’m also so grateful for this new chapter — learning new things every day, growing my skills, and becoming the best doctor I can be for you. 💛

It’s a question I get asked all the time — and I completely understand how tricky it can be to know what’s best.

That’s why I’ve created this simple, paediatrician-approved checklist to help guide you through the decision. 💙

If your little one is showing any of these signs, it’s usually a good idea to let them rest and recover at home. It not only helps them heal faster, but also protects other children from getting sick too.

Buzzing About Allergies in Kids 🌼🐝
Today, on World Bee Day, we celebrate the vital role bees play in our ecosystem — pollinating plants, supporting biodiversity, and even helping produce many of the foods our children love.

But for some children, a bee sting can trigger more than just a painful reaction — it can cause an allergic response that requires immediate medical attention.

If your child has ever had a severe reaction to a sting, it’s important to speak to your healthcare provider. Carrying an epinephrine auto-injector and having an allergy action plan can make all the difference.

Let’s use today as a reminder to appreciate bees safely — and to stay informed about how allergies can affect our little ones. 🌻

You are the ones who hold everything together. You show up with strength, patience, and love even on the hardest days. I see the way you comfort your little ones, advocate for them, and celebrate every milestone, big or small.

As a paediatrician and a mother myself, I know how challenging and beautiful this journey can be. You are doing an amazing job, and your love makes all the difference in your child’s health and happiness.
