10 days until the Build Your Anchor Breathwork Workshop.

And honestly? It’s the reset you didn’t even realise your nervous system is begging for going into 2026.

Life doesn’t slow down just because the calendar flips.
If you’re rushing, reacting, snapping, spiralling… that’s not “busy.”
That’s your body stuck in fight-or-flight.

So the real question is:
What’s keeping you steady when the curveballs hit?

You need an anchor — something that pulls you back into yourself quickly, quietly, without drama.
Not a quote.
Not another productivity hack.
A practice that actually regulates you.
And that’s exactly what this workshop gives you.

In just 60 minutes over lunch, you’ll get:
✔️ Why goals don’t hold (and why Anchors do)
✔️ Why your mind can’t regulate what your body is feeling
✔️ Two simple breath practices to bring your system back online anytime
✔️ A daily routine you can actually stick to so you stay grounded all year

Because staying anchored isn’t about more effort —
it’s about smarter tools you can use in real life.

Workshop Details:
🗓️ Friday, 23 January
⏰ 12:00–13:00 (your lunch-hour reset)
💰 R300

If you’re done feeling reactive and ready to build something that holds — this is your sign.
Comment “ANCHOR” or send me a DM to save your seat.

The breath as a tool for processing life.
It’s the 31st of December — the end of the year, not the end of life. Life keeps moving.

So instead of rushing into the next thing, what if we learned to move with life… or better yet, breathe with it?

We carry on like wild things sometimes. I often say we run around like demented little squirrels. (Maybe not you — but definitely me.)
Constantly chasing the next “nut,” keeping ourselves in overwhelm, anxiety, fear, not-enoughness… you know the drill.

Here’s a new way of being for 2026: let your breath be your mentor.
Inhale: Receive. The air — and whatever life hands you.
Pause after the inhale: Reflect. Did you slow down enough this year to notice, understand, and be curious?
Exhale: Release. Let go of judgments, resentments, fears.
Pause after the exhale: Rest. Space. Clarity. Simply being human.
For me?

My inhales were slower. My pauses went deeper (sporadically). Rest? Still a work in progress. One win: gifting myself a long weekend away for my birthday — and navigating the guilt that came with it. Thank goodness for my coach reminding me: you can’t pour from an empty vessel.

Stepping out of forcing and into flow will forever be my work.

As I look toward 2026, I haven’t set goals, words, or intentions yet. I’m letting the holidays create space to simply notice, be present, and see what wants to come through.
“The simplest thing is presence, touch, breath, silence. Maybe music, movement, a walk. Patience. Timing. Simplicity is all about waiting. It’s all about timing.”

The After-Christmas Crash (it’s not just you)

The house is quieter.
The adrenaline is gone.
And instead of peace, you feel… low.

Heavy. Irritable. A little sad.

If you’ve been holding everything together for weeks, this makes sense.
Your body was in survival mode — and now it’s finally powering down.

When the rush ends, the guilt often shows up:
Why can’t I just be happy?
I should be doing more now.

Here’s the reminder you need:
This low isn’t a problem.
It’s a sign you’re safe enough to be tired.

So in these in-between days, try these
💚 Drop the “shoulds” — nothing needs fixing or improving right now
💚 Warmth + water — think soup, blankets, slow mornings
💚 Less stimulation — fewer screens, more staring out the window
💚 A gentle exhale — not to “calm down,” just to land

You don’t have to bounce back.
You don’t have to start the year strong.

You’ve done enough.
Let yourself land.

XOXO

What was your word of the year?
I’ll go first.
Honestly, I had a few… and for a moment, I couldn’t even remember them.

First reminder: it’s okay to forget. No drama. What matters is that we reflect.

One word that’s landing for me now is clarity.
For a long time, I thought clarity would show up once I:
organised my schedule
tidied my spaces
quietened the noise around me

I kept trying to “sort my life out” to feel clear — but the clutter wasn’t outside. It was inside.

We carry a lot — conversations, stress, old emotions, environments — and it quietly builds up. Sometimes, we’re carrying weight that isn’t even ours.

Thank goodness for breathwork — especially my morning and evening routines.
Long, slow exhales to release… sometimes a pillow scream
Coherent breathing to bring balance and safety to my body

The big AHA: clarity cannot exist in a messy, cluttered heart, mind, and tense body. Conscious breathing creates the space and safety you need for clarity to actually land.

What I thought I wanted was clarity… what I really needed was space.
As we step into December, I’m curious:
👉 What was your word for 2025?
👉 What did it show you?
👉 And if you’re already looking ahead… what might your 2026 word be?

If you’re usually the one managing the mood, smoothing the edges, keeping things from falling apart…
maybe even .....compromising your self, your boundaries.....your rest

Family Day can feel more like a responsibility than a rest.
If yesterday didn’t go as planned, hear this:

🙂 You don’t have to fix anything.
🙂 You don’t have to make it meaningful.
🙂 You don’t have to keep everyone happy.
🙂 You don’t have to hold it all together.

There is still family time ahead — and it doesn’t need to be perfect to matter.

Let this be a practice of BEING, not managing.

Let things be awkward. Let them be loud. Let them be unfinished.

You don’t need to fix the table !!!!

You just need to sit at it — breathing, grounded, still whole.

I want to wish you a meaningful holiday season.
Not the picture-perfect, everything-is-sorted kind. The real kind — a mix of joy, fatigue, gratitude, and a little “I’ll deal with that in January.”

This time of year magnifies everything:
❣️The people we love
❣️The people we miss
❣️The year we’ve survived
❣️The hopes we quietly carry into the next one

Here’s my holiday wish for you:
✨ Find pockets of calm in the noise
✨ Feel supported, even when you’re holding everything together
✨ Give yourself permission to rest — truly rest
✨ Notice the small moments of joy hiding in plain sight

And if your year felt heavy?
I hope this season gives you just enough lightness to breathe a little deeper again.

To everyone I’ve connected with, worked with, learned from, or simply crossed paths with — thank you. Your presence matters more than you realise.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Wishing you peace, playfulness, and a gentle ending to the year.

XOXO
Carol-Lee

The noise is rising. The “shoulds” are piling up. You feel that familiar heat in your chest—the urge to scream or just completely shut down.

This is your permission to retreat!!!!

You don’t need a meditation room. You need a bathroom stall, a parked car, or a quiet corner. This isn’t hiding; it’s a strategic withdrawal to reclaim your nervous system.

The “RETREAT “ Protocol:

1️⃣ The Release: If you feel like you want to explode, do 3 rounds of
fast, sharp inhales through the nose and exhales through the mouth.
Let the physical energy out.

2️⃣ The Shift: Now, slow it down. Place one hand on your chest or belly.
Feel the physical boundary of where you start and the chaos ends.

3️⃣ The Cold Shock: Splash cold water on your face or the side of your
neck. It’s a biological “circuit breaker” for the panic response.

You don’t have to go back out there feeling “peaceful” or perfect.

You just need to be present enough not to disappear into the overwhelm.

You aren’t abandoning the family.
You’re refusing to abandon yourself.

You’ve done the therapy, you’ve read the books, and you’ve practised your boundaries. Then, one comment hits a soft spot you thought you’d healed years ago.

It’s tempting to play the victim game: “Why are they like this?” or “They always ruin the mood.”

But here’s the hard truth: Waiting for them to change so you can feel at peace is giving away your power.

Taking responsibility means:

👉 Stop waiting for them to change so you can finally feel at peace. That gives them all the power.

👉 Acknowledge the trigger, but don’t become it. You can feel the irritation without throwing it back at them.

👉 Choose depth over performance. If you want honesty, be honest. If you want peace, be peaceful. You don’t need their permission to be the most evolved person in the room.

Healing doesn’t mean you’ll never be triggered.
It means you stop letting the trigger run the show.

Awareness doesn’t mean you won’t get triggered.
It means you don’t have to become the trigger.

18/12/2025

Before the lists get longer and the calendar fills up, there is a quiet window of time that belongs entirely to you.

Before the holiday rush asks for your energy, your presence, and your “perfect” output—let’s just breathe.

You might feel like the pace of the season is out of your hands, but you actually have the power to slow the rhythm from the inside out.

The secret isn’t in the inhale; it’s in the exhale. When we intentionally lengthen our breath out, we send a direct signal to the vagus nerve—the body’s internal “reset” button.

This shift moves you from ‘fight or flight’ into ‘rest and digest.’
In these moments, connecting with your breath isn’t just a relaxation technique.

It’s a boundary. It’s how you stay home in your own body. It’s how you refuse to abandon yourself to the noise.

Today is the Day of Reconciliation.
More than a public holiday, it’s an invitation — beyond politics, beyond history — into how we show up every day.

Reconciliation isn’t a moment. It’s a practice.
It’s choosing:
✨ Understanding over assumption
✨ Curiosity over defensiveness
✨ Seeing that everyone carries their own story, scars, and starting point

In a country as complex as ours, it can feel overwhelming. But here’s the truth: it doesn’t have to be loud to matter. It doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful.

Reconciliation happens in small, repeated actions:

💛 Listening without rushing to respond
💛 Acknowledging harm, even when it’s uncomfortable
💛 Making room for perspectives that stretch us
💛 Repairing what we can, learning from what we can’t
💛 Showing up with integrity, even when no one is watching

It matters in communities and in workplaces. It’s about connection — how we treat each other, collaborate, and build environments where people feel seen and valued.

Today, instead of thinking of reconciliation as abstract, ask:

Where can I create more understanding — in myself, my work, my relationships?

Small shifts compound. Small actions heal. Small moments of humanity ripple far.

Wishing you a reflective, meaningful Day of Reconciliation.

Let’s keep doing the work — quietly, consistently, together.
