Trauma Healing with TRE Trauma Release Exercises, is a somatic body based practice for people suffering with stress, anxiety, trauma or PTSD.

eli was able to develop a sequence of seven simple exercises, that activate the body’s natural urge to shake or vibrate to release stress. When this shaking/vibrating mechanism is triggered – in a safe, controlled environment – it has multiple positive effects on the body, including:

calming and balancing the nervous system

helping the body to release

muscular tension

releasing trauma

bringing the body back into a state of balance. Over time (usually less than three months) the physiology of the entire body can be returned to balance, and the immune system returned to normal functioning, with benefits including:

improved sleep

better focus and concentration

feeling more relaxed and calm

relief from long-standing physical pain

greater emotional resilience.

Trauma is not the event that happened to you, it is what happens inside you during the traumatic event.

We become disconnected from our emotions,
Disconnected from our body,
Have difficulty being in the present moment,
Have a negative view of ourselves and the world,
A defensive view of other people.

To heal we need to restore connection with our bodies primarily, and to our emotions that we lost.

Recovery is to recover or find yourself again. Loss of self is the essence of trauma. Reconnection is the healing.

People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they’re afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they’re wrong.

Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It’s all in how you carry it. That’s what matters.

Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you’re letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.”
