As we reach our final stretch for 2022 let's focus our attention on gratitude, kindness, peace and health Gratitude for life for love for friendships for family. This has been another year where our main focus has been health again. My greatest lesson once again patience, and consistency. In many ways our lives change always for the better as we evolve with the times. Kindness is such a small little thing in our day to day lives. My journey this year has been one filled with wonder and grace. Practice being kind to yourselves first and the rest will follow.
Peace in our souls so vitally important for our health. Thank you to all who have been with me from way back when to right here and now. Your peaceful souls have given me strength, as everything in life is a cycle, Let go of the past, let go of what you can't control and find the peace within your own souls to move into the new year.
Calm and inner peace go as one. As I reflect on my many challenges this year, I practiced finding that peace inside as everything can be overcome with strength, willpower and a loving heart, Laughter, passion and playfulness never forget to laugh at the small things smile at the big things and fill your hearts with LOVE.
The days were overcome with friendships and love, the losses we endured made us grow stronger in order to face the new challenges with greater will.
I thank each and every one of you my friends near and far for all your unconditional love and friendship. Thank you to my wonderful family together with love and integrity all is possible. Lets look forward an amazing 2023 šŸ’›āļøšŸ’› May each and every one of you be blessed with many happy moments in 2023 less hardships more love, laughter, passion, abundance and everything your hearts desire. ā¤ļø Namaste my friends ā¤ļø may 2023 bring you all harmony and health. All my love Tasia.

On Giving - Kahlil Gibran THE PROPHET

Then said a rich man, "Speak to us of Giving."
And he answered:
You give but little when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.
For what are your possessions but things you keep and guard for fear you may need them tomorrow?
And tomorrow, what shall tomorrow bring to the overprudent dog burying bones in the trackless sand as he follows the pilgrims to the holy city?
And what is fear of need but need itself?
Is not dread of thirst when your well is full, thirst that is unquenchable?
There are those who give little of the much which they have - and they give it for recognition and their hidden desire makes their gifts unwholesome.
And there are those who have little and give it all.
These are the believers in life and the bounty of life, and their coffer is never empty.
There are those who give with joy, and that joy is their reward.
And there are those who give with pain, and that pain is their baptism.
And there are those who give and know not pain in giving, nor do they seek joy, nor give with mindfulness of virtue;
They give as in yonder valley the myrtle breathes its fragrance into space.
Though the hands of such as these God speaks, and from behind their eyes He smiles upon the earth.
It is well to give when asked, but it is better to give unasked, through understanding;
And to the open-handed the search for one who shall receive is joy greater than giving
And is there aught you would withhold?
All you have shall some day be given;
Therefore give now, that the season of giving may be yours and not your inheritors'.
You often say, "I would give, but only to the deserving."
The trees in your orchard say not so, nor the flocks in your pasture.
They give that they may live, for to withhold is to perish.
Surely he who is worthy to receive his days and his nights is worthy of all else from you.
And he who has deserved to drink from the ocean of life deserves to fill his cup from your little stream.
And what desert greater shall there be than that which lies in the courage and the confidence, nay the charity, of receiving?
And who are you that men should rend their bosom and unveil their pride, that you may see their worth naked and their pride unabashed?
See first that you yourself deserve to be a giver, and an instrument of giving.
For in truth it is life that gives unto life - while you, who deem yourself a giver, are but a witness.
And you receivers - and you are all receivers - assume no weight of gratitude, lest you lay a yoke upon yourself and upon him who gives.
Rather rise together with the giver on his gifts as on wings;
For to be overmindful of your debt, is to doubt his generosity who has the free-hearted earth for mother, and God for father. šŸ¤SHARED WITH LOVE TASIAšŸ¤

TO THE WOMAN WHO THINKS SHE ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH

To the woman who looks around and wonders why everyone else is so much more capable, so much stronger, so much more ambitious than her.

To the woman who thinks everyone else is blazing a fiery path through this thing we call life, while she limps behind, barely getting through the days.

Somewhere, another woman is looking at you thinking exactly the same.

You see, we all look like we’re kinda nailing it, from the outside in.

We all look ā€˜together’ sometimes.
Catch us on the right day and hey, we look like we have it all.
Because guess what, we learned to look that way a long time ago.
We learned to hide our struggles behind a smile and whack on that mask every day.

And actually, we are doing each other a favour when we show up,
just as we are,
warts and all,
late,
flustered,
human.

What we really need to see is that we are all the same.
We all struggle.
We all fall apart.

Some days we nail it, other days we get nailed.

By hiding our own weaknesses, fears, worries, we give them more power.
If you let it out, shine a light on it all, it becomes so much less scary, funny even…
And goodness only knows we need to laugh.

So, to the woman who wonders if she is good enough…

If this is you.
Yes you are.
You always were.

You don’t have to live up to everyone’s expectation of how you should be coping.
You are human, flawed, wonderful, miraculous, loveable, loved.

I see you,

Now do me a favour and go see all the others too.
Spread the word, we are good enough, just as we are.

FRIENDSHIP IS

Knowing that someone will be there when you lose,
when you fall,
when you snort ugly tears.

Friendship is knowing they will ask you twice,
ā€˜how are you, really?’
And they will not accept your answer of fine,
when you are anything but.

Friendship is showing up for the worst of times,
as well as the best,
and knowing which one is the most important.

Friendship is building another’s self-esteem,
realising the gift they have given you by allowing you to do so,
and never using that gift for anything but good.

Friendship is every colour of the rainbow and all the hues in between.
The good, the bad, the ugly, the glorious, the beloved and the brilliant.

Friendship is hanging on when that person is cocooned,
waiting for them to re-emerge,
ready to accept their changes,
knowing they are still the same, to you.

Friendship is a gift, a blessing, a joy.

Be the friend you seek to have.
And be that friend to yourself too.

IT WAS NEVER ABOUT YOUR BODY

It’s how you feel
about your body.

It’s about how society has told you you ā€˜should’ feel
about your body.

If no one told you you were too big or too anything, if you grew up looking at images of real, diverse body shapes, you probably wouldn’t feel like you aren’t enough today.

We judge ourselves on a ridiculous notion that women ā€˜should keep their figures’.

It’s old-fashioned.

We are better than that.

And actually, if we are looking to ā€˜keep our figures’ then we need to first identify what our particular figure is.

We are not all made the same.

Some of us are tall and slim, some of us are small and wide, some of us are curvy and some of us aren’t. Some of us change a lot and some of us don’t.

We are all beautiful and if you don’t believe that, you haven’t looked at women with clear vision.

We really are.

The greys, the dimples, the rolls, the wrinkles...

They don’t change who we are.

Our eyes and our smiles are the only real markers of who’s inside that skin.

The perfect body, like the perfect day,
is something only the beholder can call.

Don’t leave it too much longer to do that.

HERE’S TO THE FRIENDS

Here’s to the friends,
who give us grace to cancel the plans we made, when we were a different version of ourselves.

Here’s to the friends,
who never say ā€˜I told you so’ but instead, sit down and get comfortable, to hear the entire story they predicted already.

Here’s to the friends,
who send little videos of the things they know bring basic joy to your day.

Here’s to the friends,
who have our secrets in their pocket, and keep them safely guarded.

Here’s to the friends,
who show up for the happy, and the sad.
And see the importance in both.

Here’s to the friends,
we just could not be without, on this rollercoaster ride.

Here’s to the friends,
who bring in light, when light is scarce.

Here’s to you,
and here’s to them,
we’re blessed indeed,
to have that friend.

YOU CAN’T BE EVERYONE’S CUP OF TEA

There will always be someone in this life who just doesn’t like you, no matter how hard you try to please them.
There will always be something that you say, or do, which causes offence or division. Whether you meant to or not.
There will always be someone who finds fault in you, your life or your words.
You may never find out why.
Please don’t waste your precious time trying to.

You can’t be everyone’s cup of tea.

Then there will be those who like you on impact.
A little fizz of energy that passes between you.
Silently, unseen, bonding.

Those people will not only like you but they will like you fiercely.
They are your people.
Whatever spare time you have, spend it on them.

You can’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but you can be someone’s first sip of a cold drink on a sunny day,

Or a warming hot chocolate when you come in from the rainy,
Or the pop of a long awaited champagne cork,
Or a stiff shot of tequila when things go awry,
Find your people, love them hard.
