Today we celebrate an incredible milestone… 🎂✨

Sue turns 70... and honestly, you would never say it.

Not because of a number... but because of her energy, her passion, her wisdom, and the way she still shows up every single day with purpose and heart. 💛

As one of the founders and guiding forces behind our practice, Sue has built more than a business... she has built a culture of care, integrity, and excellence.

She has mentored, encouraged, led, laughed, solved problems, supported patients, and inspired generations of therapists. And she continues to do so with the same spark and dedication she’s always had. 💫

70 years of life.
Decades of service.
Countless lives impacted.

Sue, your experience is invaluable, your warmth is contagious, and your commitment to helping people move and live better is something we are all grateful for every day.

Here’s to strength, longevity, laughter, and many more years of doing what you love. 🥂💚

Happy 70th Birthday, Sue. You are truly one of a kind.

Being flexible is great… but flexibility alone doesn’t equal healthy movement. 🤸‍♀️✨

In fact, too much mobility without enough control can actually increase your risk of injury.

Here’s why 👇

Every movement your body makes relies on a balance between:

🟢 Mobility – your available range of motion
🟢 Stability – your ability to control and manage load
🟢 Coordination – the timing and sequencing of muscles

When someone is very flexible but doesn’t have:

▪️ Strength through their full range
▪️ Proper joint control
▪️ Good neuromuscular coordination

…their joints start relying on passive structures (like ligaments and joint capsules) instead of muscles for support.

And those structures aren’t designed to handle ongoing load on their own.

Over time, this can lead to:

⚠️ Recurrent muscle strains
⚠️ Joint irritation
⚠️ A feeling of instability
⚠️ Ongoing pain — despite having “great flexibility”

This is why physiotherapy isn’t just about stretching.

It’s about building active control through your range... so your muscles do the work they’re meant to do, and your joints are protected. 💪

Strong. Controlled. Efficient.

That’s what healthy movement really looks like.

Ever noticed how pain seems to get louder when the world goes quiet? 🌙

Night-time and early morning discomfort can feel scary... but it doesn’t always mean something is “getting worse.” Often, it’s your body reacting to reduced movement, increased sensitivity, and tissues that have been under the same load for hours.

The good news? Understanding your pain pattern is one of the most powerful tools in recovery. 💪

If your pain has a “schedule” (worse at night, stiff in the morning, easing once you move), it’s worth paying attention... because patterns help us pinpoint what your body needs.

And sometimes… the solution isn’t more rest.
It’s the right movement, at the right time, with the right plan. 👣✨

If your pain is interrupting sleep or making mornings miserable, let’s assess it early and get you back to moving confidently again.

Rehab isn’t about ticking boxes or following a generic plan 💭

It’s about listening, adapting, and responding to your body... as it heals, strengthens, and changes.

True recovery is dynamic. Some days your body is ready to do more. Other days, it needs a different approach. That’s not failure... that’s feedback 🧠💪

When rehab is personalised, progress stays moving.
When it’s static, progress often stalls.

Healing works best when your plan evolves with you... not when you’re expected to fit into a template.

If your rehab hasn’t changed in a while, your body might be ready for the next step. ✨

Whether it’s a sports ni**le, post-op recovery, or just some much-needed relief... we’ve got you covered.

At Physiotherapy Bedfordview, we focus on keeping your functional movement strong, so everyday tasks like walking, lifting, reaching, running, and balancing feel easier, safer, and more confident.

Through personalised assessments, targeted strengthening, mobility work, and movement retraining, we help your body move the way it was designed to... efficiently, pain-free, and with better control.

Whether you’re staying active, returning from injury, or simply wanting to move better for life, strong functional movement is the foundation for long-term health, independence, and performance.

Move better. Live better. Stay stronger... for longer. 💪🦴

Our Story

Physiotherapy Bedfordview Bradford Road has been serving the Bedfordview and surrounding communities since 1983. Being the oldest established practice in Bedfordview, we have been the pioneers of physiotherapy in this area. We are very proud of our heritage and place a huge emphasis on treatment quality, which is shown in our effort to spend “Hands-On” time with patients.

In 2008 we expanded by opening a second practice, Physiotherapy Bedfordview Harcus Road, in the Raven’s Sport Center of St.Benedict’s College. Open to the public and serving various local schools, it extends our connection to our community.

2018 saw the opening or our third practice, Physiotherapy Bedfordview Virgin Active Eastgate, it is another stride in our journey to being as accessible and available to our patients as possible.

We place our patient's health above all else, so don’t just trust it to anyone, Trust it to us.
