🔬 What Is Scar Tissue?
Scar tissue forms as part of the body’s natural healing process after injury, surgery, or repeated stress. It’s made of collagen, but unlike healthy tissue, it’s more fibrous and less flexible. Over time, scar tissue can create restrictions in movement, stiffness, pain, or altered function.

✨ The Three Conversations of Massage ✨

In every massage session, I experience three conversations happening all at once:

🗣 The Verbal — You arrive and share what’s going on. “I’m sore here,” “I feel tight there.” This is the first layer — using words to connect, understand, and set intention.

🤲 The Hands and Body — As I work, your body speaks to mine. It shows me what hurts, what flows, where to be gentle or go deeper. Sometimes, a new technique emerges in the moment — not taught, not planned — your body simply teaches mine what to do. And I listen.

🌊 The Nervous System — Beneath it all, your nervous system gives constant feedback. I feel the shifts — resistance, surrender, release. This rhythm tells me how you’re doing, and guides the pace and depth of the session.

When all three conversations align, it’s not just bodywork — it’s a co-creation. A dance of presence, sensation, and healing.

This is the space I hold. This is the work I love.

“Don’t you get tired? You must pick up so much energy from people…”
I get this question a lot.
And honestly?
No. Not anymore.
In the beginning, sure — my body would get tired.
Like anything you do often, I had to build endurance, learn to work more efficiently, and take care of myself.
But the whole idea that I “absorb people’s energy” is, in my opinion…
disempowering — to me and to my clients.
Imagine being afraid to touch someone because you might “pick up their energy.”
Or worse — thinking you can take it away from them.
That’s not healing — that’s martyrdom in a disguise.
“Look at me, I saved you. Now let me complain about how heavy it was.”
That’s not service. That’s madness.
Here’s the truth:
I don’t rescue people.
I don’t carry them.
I meet them — in grief, anger, joy, confusion, tears, laughter.
I create spaces where big emotions are safe to be felt.
And if I get triggered?
That’s not their energy invading me — that’s my own pain being mirrored back.
Their emotion just showed me a part of myself I didn’t know needed tending.
That’s the work.
And the more safe I am within myself, the safer I can be for others.
I don’t take energy. I create space.
And I love people enough to meet them where they are.

One of my deepest joys is helping people return to doing the things they love — whether that’s running a marathon, showing up in their business, playing with their kids, or just moving pain-free through life.
Your body is the vehicle that lets you live fully. And when it’s not working the way you want it to, life gets smaller.
I know this personally — I run a business, I train dogs, I hike, I run, I do CrossFit, I chase after my nephew. These things make my life rich — and they all depend on my body showing up for me. That’s why I prioritize weekly massage, good sleep, movement, food, stillness. Because when my body feels supported, I feel unstoppable.
This work isn’t about fixing people. It’s about giving back what pain has taken — energy, confidence, movement, joy.

🔹 Muscle Knots (aka Myofascial Trigger Points):
They’re not literal knots in the muscle —
They’re tight, contracted bundles of muscle fibers that haven’t released properly after use or stress.

These areas:

Limit movement

Feel sore or achy

Can refer pain to other parts of the body (yes, your “neck pain” might start in your shoulder!)

Repetitive strain or poor posture

Emotional stress & nervous system dysregulation

Dehydration, lack of movement, or injury

“Fix It” Culture Nearly Broke Me.
I understand the desire to fix.
To fix yourself. To become someone else.
I used to hate myself so much, I would’ve done anything to not be me.

That path led me into drug abuse…
Eventually suicidal thoughts.
And finally — surrender.

I asked for help from something bigger than me.
And that’s when the healing journey began.

I realized:
✨ I’m not the problem.
✨ I am the solution.

The very things I used to hate about myself —
My gentleness.
My quietness.
My mind that processes the world differently.
My deep capacity to feel, to love, to understand…

They weren’t flaws. They were superpowers.

Through my own healing, I’ve come to believe:
There’s no part of you that needs to be “fixed.”
Nothing broken that needs changing.

Only parts that need to be seen, embraced, and nurtured.
Self-destructive behaviors are not shameful flaws —
They’re signals of pain.
They’re screams for love, not more criticism.

The jewels of your soul?
They’re hidden in the places you’ve labeled “throwaway.”

Go there.
That’s where you’ll find yourself.

I’m trained in multiple modalities, and I draw from them all as needed —
but if I had to define my core style, it’s a fusion of Lomi Lomi and Remedial Sports Massage.
Lomi Lomi brings the flow — long, intuitive, rhythmic strokes that connect the whole body and calm the nervous system.
Remedial Sports Massage brings the structure — precise, targeted techniques that address specific tension, dysfunction, and pain patterns.
I blend them intentionally.
I don’t dive straight into deep pressure.
I flow into your discomfort — slowly, gently softening the area and preparing your body to receive deeper work.
By the time I use more intense techniques, your body has already opened the door.

MUSIC AS MEDICINE 🎵🖤

Music helps me process and express pain —
but more than that, it reminds me I’m not alone.
There’s something powerful about hearing lyrics that feel like they were written by someone who knows exactly what you’re going through.

One of my go-to songs for shadow work is
"Forty Six & 2" by Tool.

I often listen to it when I’m feeling triggered, confused,
or caught in the urge to blame someone else for my pain.

It recentres me in responsibility,
and reminds me that growth isn’t comfortable —
it’s gritty, raw, and deeply human.

Change has come through my shadow.”

“My shadow’s shedding skin…
I've been picking scabs again.”

“I choose to live and to grow…
do what it takes to move through.”

This track doesn’t just speak to the pain —
