My name is Jolandi Els and I have been in the beauty industry from 2009. I studied health and beauty at Aim Academy of Cosmetology in Cape Town. I am qualified in advance skincare, advance body care, skin and body electronics, massaging, waxing, manicures, pedicures, reflexology and aromatherapy. I qualified with Itec, Cidesco and Saahsp. I worked for Dischem as an Skincare Laser Therapist and after that I followed my dream of one day having my own beauty salon. I started off very small by going to client’s houses and doing treatments there to later opening my own home based salon in January 2017. While trying to find a name for my salon I tried to think of everything but I just could not get a name that was not already in use in the industry until I went back to my roots. I am an Afrikaans girl from Namibia so I thought about what it is that I want people to experience. Sagte (soft touch) Bederfies (spoils) everyone want an soft touch and to be spoiled. I know that for most of my English members this name did not make sense but this is the reason why I decided on an Afrikaans name. I wanted to use the best products in my salon at the lowest possible price to make it possible for everyone out there to experience what means to be pampered. In my salon nails started to bloom, I started off with 5 Gelish gel polish colours and as time went on I could add to my collection. I currently have 26 Gelish and 70 Gel-It colours, I started using QD Nails acrylic’s and hard gels as well as Velena’s legendary rubberbase coat. I wanted to give up at first when things were not going as fast as I wanted/needed it to go but my husband kept on motivating me and telling me not to give up but to be patient. I have came a far way and without you as my loyal customers it would not have been possible.

Sagte Bederfies is still going strong and will one day reach it’s full goal.
