Sending love and light out into the world, to every being, to every space. Pass it on! 🌟✨
**
Like the light that radiates from a star, each one of us emits our own aura of energy that expands out infinitely from the moment we come to life. We all have a personal electromagnetic field!
**
As our energy expands, it is felt by all else… so imagine what we can do for each other and for our world if we all began to intentionally send out love! …If we chose to put our differences aside and embrace the fact that we are all people of this one planet, we all want and need love.
**
Often this requires setting the ego aside. Do you feel resistance to giving or receiving love? This is your cue that you ego is standing in front of you…

Do you ever notice how much of our time we spend living in the realm of past and future?
Think about it… when our brains are running on autopilot we are either reviewing something that has happened, or projecting what might happen…
*
But… the only time, the only situation, that we can ever actually experience is right now! The present moment!
*
Our mind are incredible for being able to critically think about past and future for survival purposes… but we don’t need to be there all the time. To truly be living, is to be fully experiencing the moment you are in right now.
*
Our pets can be a great reminder of this, they live in the now. This is one reason why it feels good for us to spend time with them… they pull us into our true experience of life..

Choosing to perceive our lives as being in isolation, aka ‘we are born alone and we die alone’ can be tempting to justify disconnecting from life in ways… from people, or experiences… but mostly disconnects us from our true selves.
*
I used to think this way… as an escape from dealing with my own sh*t really…
*
This morning that I sat and witnessed this lone crane perched on the rocks in the heavy mist, I am reminded that we can mistakenly perceive our experience as being individualistic and alone..
*
Yet all of us, even the lone crane, beats to the pulse of the expanse of life and energy.
Each of our experiences is but a wave rising out of the one ocean 🌊

"Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will" ~ Suzy Kassem

☆°☆°☆

Being able to feel fear is a clever survival mechanism that helps us avoid danger..

But do you ever notice how it shows up even when our lives aren't being threatened?

☆°☆°☆

We tend to assume worst case scenario, we fear the unknown..
But this also can limit our own passions, endeavors and creativity.

Do you ever feel afraid to try something new, or follow your heart?

☆°☆°☆

Fear can be absolutely crippling, and leave us stuck in a space in life where we don't want to be.. all because we are afraid to take that first step.

When I first began to notice my fears, to see them, look at them like i was standing outside a window looking in..
I realised that I have the choice to act on that fear,
Or accept that the fear is there, and choose differently. I realised that I was believing in my fears when i didnt have to.

☆°☆°☆

Fear gives us a choice of actions or behaviours that we can take. When we realise this, fear no longer runs our lives.
We can choose to believe in our passions and dreams instead.

"Everything you want is on the other side of fear" ~ Jack Cornfield

"The most important personal growth doesn't happen when you're meditating or on your yoga mat"...

But these practices do help us set the stage for growth. They help us slow down and see our thoughts, actions, and behaviours... and the quiet spaces inbetween.

It may only begin as a millisecond of noticing a thought or action in the midst of it.. but it all begins with that awareness.

Once you see it, cultivate it.

For when we gain awareness of our thoughts and actions, an ability to watch them as they unfold..
We begin realize that we always have the choice of what to think and how to act,
Our thoughts and actions no longer control us or dictate our lives..
Only then we are truly free.

Its just one more week until the start of my Finding Balance series

Whether we are balancing our bodies or our lives, it all begins with tapping into that which is steady and stable.

In our bodies, this means creating a solid foundation with the ground below our feet and hands.
In our lives, this means cultivating a strong connection to our true self which sits in between all dualities, where there is neutrality and acceptance of all else that is.

When we have a stable foundation, we can start to play with transferring weight and energy, and shifting between holding on and letting go...
And perhaps learning when to hold on or let go.

☆☆☆☆

There are only 3 spots left in the Finding Balance series where we will be building foundations of srength and flexibility to facilitate floating in a place of balance.

Next Monday evening is the very beginning of the 6 week Meditative Restorative yoga series I'm offering

Restorative yoga invites us to completely let go, to relax the body and the mind through supported poses, gentle rhythmic breath, and guided meditation.

It seems more and more challenging to relax these days in a world filled up with busyness, stress and stimulus.
At times the level of stress we operate at starts to feel normal, yet it can slowly burn us out.

○○○○

When i discovered Restorative yoga, it was like stumbling upon a whole new realm of rest and relaxation that I never knew existed.
At first i thought i was creating this peace through the practice, but eventually realized that being at peace was my natural state, it was the stress I was creating.

Tapping into these natural relaxing states of body and mind can help boost our immune systems and overall health.

○○○○

There are only 2 spots left in my upcoming series where we will be cultivating deep relaxation and peace.

What is the best way to move?

Move not how you think you should or could.
Move not how anyone thinks you should or could.

Move exactly how your body does move.
Move how your body wants to move.
In this very moment of time that you are in.

Sometimes my body asks to move in ways that are not easy, where there is stiffness and tension.

Sometimes it wants to move in ways that dont look like yoga asana.

Sometimes my body asks to roll and bend and wave. Sometimes it asks to be still.

Sometimes my body asks for less or for more than a day ago, an hour ago or even a minute ago.

Sometimes what my body asks for doesn't make my ego happy.

Move your ego aside,
and your body will move you ♡
