Geniet elke oomblik, Mia. Ons wag met afwagting om vir baba te ontmoet!

Most people think of stroke recovery when they hear “neurorehab” — and that’s a big part of what I do 🧠

But we also support adults living with Parkinson’s, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, brain injuries, and other neurological conditions that make daily life feel unfamiliar.

For our practice, neurorehabilitation is about helping people reconnect with their routines — whether that’s getting dressed, using their hands again, or managing energy and focus throughout the day.

Recovery looks different for everyone, so we meet each patient where they are and walk that road with them.

When people hear “occupational therapy,” they often picture a child learning to hold a pencil or tie a shoelace.

But for us, OT looks more like this:
✏️ Helping someone write again after a hand injury.
👕 Figuring out how to button a shirt with one hand after surgery.
🫴 Supporting someone who’s afraid to use their hand after a bad fall.
💙 Or simply helping someone feel less pain, less frustrated, and more in control of their body again.

That’s what OT is, too. Quiet, practical wins — built around real life.

👋 Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the web.
I’m Gerda — an occupational therapist based here in Bethlehem, and the founder of a practice that’s all about purposeful recovery. I work with people who’ve had surgery, injuries, or chronic conditions, and help them get back to the things that matter — whether that’s opening a jar, driving, or returning to work.

My special interest? Hands. (They’re incredible.) 👐
But I also love working with people navigating pain, stroke recovery, or life after injury-on-duty. Every journey is different, but one thing stays the same: healing is never just physical — it’s personal, too.

Thanks for joining my community 🌿
I’m looking forward to sharing more with you.
