The Shotokan Karate Academy in Bloemfontein has been “kicking up gold” in Japan at the WSKF’s (World Sh*toryu Karate-do Federation) 2023 world championship, hosted in Tokyo.

Quentin Rourke, owner of the Shotokan Karate Academy, won the world championships for under-50 Male Veterans, Sensei Sandile attained silver for Veterans Under 39 years and Bronze for Senior Opens' Kumite Over 75 kg.
