Keratoconus is an eye condition where the cornea thins and starts bulging outwards into a cone shape.

What Is Strabismus?

Strabismus is the medical term used for squint eyes or crossed eyes.
It is when your eyes look in different directions.

There are different types of strabismus.
The two most common types are:
• Esotropia: When one or both eyes turn inwards
• Exotropia: When they turn outwards

Strabismus can develop at any time, but it is common in babies or in young children before the age of 3 years.

Glaucoma

What is glaucoma?
It occurs when pressure inside the eye is high and causes damage to the optic nerve, leading to permanent visual field loss.

Symptoms:
Unfortunately, there are NO symptoms in the early stages. In advanced cases you may start experiencing tunnel vision.

When to visit an Ophthalmologist:
1. Recommended for all persons over 40 years
2. If you have a family history of glaucoma
3. ⁠High eye pressures detected at your optometrist
4. Short sighted patients and diabetics have a higher risk
