Lets meet our Physiotherapist:

ZANETTE LOWE

Zanette obtained her B Physiotherapy degree Cum Laude in 1994 at the University of Pretoria. She worked at Johannesburg General Hospital with Prof Guy Richards and Dr Mervin Mer. She was actively involved in research studies in the area of respiratory and infectious disease management.

Zanette was the head of the physiotherapy unit and she tutored the WITS physiotherapy students in the respiratory ICU.

In 1997, Zanette started her private practice in Randfontein, West Rand. The practice involved hospital based rehabilitation as well as out patients. In 2010 Zanette relocated to Bloemfontein where she lectured at the University of the Free State’s Department of Physiotherapy from 2012 to 2014. She turored the students in the burns unit. Zanette obtained her Masters Degree from the University of the Free State with a special interest in Community Health Care.

Zanette joined our team in 2017 and practices in the areas of out-patient care, sports injuries, dry-needling, neuro-muscular pathology and domicilliary visitations.

Michelle Fouché Michelle Fouché Registered Dietitians

Michelle is a registered dietitian who has gained experience in clinical, corporate and rehabilitative settings since the completion of her degree at The University of the Free State. She is passionate about empowering individuals to make healthy and informed lifestyle decisions.

Michelle sees a variety of clients, is CDE (Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology) accredited, CDE OptiFast trained and also takes a keen interest in gut health and autoimmune disease.

She is currently very active in pediatric ward and rehabilitation setting!!!

Lets meet our Biokineticist:

Welmarie van Niekerk Biokinetikus

Welmarie van Niekerk is a registered Biokineticist, she completed both her BA in Human Movement Science as well as her Honours degree in Biokinetics at the University of Free State.

After completing her internship, she work at a high performance center for 2 years which catered for the everyday recreational sports person to the elite sports person. It was during this time that she developed her love for orthopedic rehabilitation.

Feeling that she could cater for a broader population, she decided to open her own practice and is the proud owner of Welmarie van Niekerk Biokineticist.

She enjoys participating in various sport codes and is also a Qualified Pilates instructor for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced mat syllabus in the New York Classical Pilates training method

We Offer a variety of services to suit everyone's needs no matter your age or fitness level.

Lizé van Emmenis

Lizé Fourie
B. Occupational Therapy (UFS)

Lizé obtained her degree from the University of the Free State in 2013, and after completing her community service has had the privilege to work in various fields within private practice, including vocational rehabilitation, step-down- and physical rehabilitation facilities as well as acute hospitals. Lizé has an interest in adult physical rehabilitation and is a Bobath (NDT) Trained therapist.
Lizé is able to assist with the following patients:
Adult Neurology (acquired conditions, including traumatic brain injury, cancer and stroke, degenerative conditions such as Alzheimers’ or Parkinson’s)
Orthopaedic conditions (including joint replacements)
Cognitive impairments
Home assessments and -adaptations
Assistive devices

She has a passion for assisting patients with reaching optimal functional independence and aiding in return to level of function before trauma or surgery.

Danelle studied at the Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University where she obtained her Honours degree in Kinderkinetics in 2013. From the earliest age, sport and physical exercise has afforded her the opportunity to grow as an individual and she aspires to provide the same opportunity for other children. Her natural ability and affinity for working with children allow her to steadily empower them through movement and play. Since starting her practice in 2015, she has gained ample knowledge and experience with helping children reach their full potential through movement. Her wish is that DG Kinderkinetics leaves a lasting and positive impression on every child’s life.

Melicia is a registered occupational therapist who obtained her degree from the University of the Free State. She is passionate about children reaching their full potential in everyday life – while having fun as well. She enjoys incorporating family time as well as household items in therapy sessions to make it as universal as possible. She offers assessment and treatment services at the practice and various pre-primary and primary schools in Bloemfontein
