We are delighted to welcome Dr Mareli Nieuwoudt to Estherea! 🌿

She is a general paediatrician, wife, and mom to two busy boys, passionate about building compassionate, trusted relationships with children and their families. She supports them through routine care, developmental milestones, and more complex journeys with empathy and reassurance.

She completed her M.B.,Ch.B. at the University of the Free State in 2016 and graduated Cum Laude with an MMed in Paediatrics from Stellenbosch University in 2025. She is also a Fellow of the College of Paediatricians of South Africa (FC Paed SA).

Her interests include acute and chronic care, developmental health, and palliative care, with a strong focus on preventive paediatrics and gentle, natural approaches. She is dedicated to empowering parents and creating a warm, child-friendly space where families feel supported and at ease.

We wish her every success and much happiness as she begins this new chapter with us at Estherea! 🥰

For the past 10 beautiful years, we’ve had the honour of supporting, nurturing, and walking alongside families through some of life’s most precious moments 💛

We’re thrilled to share that Estherea is featured in this month’s Get It Bloemfontein magazine as we celebrate an incredible 10 years of serving families and supporting motherhood. ✨

To God be ALL the glory! 🙌

For the past decade, it has been our honour to walk alongside women and families through pregnancy, birth, and the early days of parenthood, holding space with compassion, care, and expertise every step of the way.

Thank you to every family who has trusted us to be part of your journey. This milestone belongs to all of us, and we are so grateful for the lives, stories, and little ones who have filled these 10 years with purpose and joy.

Estherea’s Antenatal Evening Classes – Starting Wednesday, 8 April at 18:00

We are excited to open registrations for our next round of antenatal evening classes.

These sessions are thoughtfully designed to help you and your partner feel informed, prepared, and confident for the journey ahead. Topics include birth preparation, practical skills, pain management options, breastfeeding, newborn care, and postnatal recovery.

Presented in a warm and supportive environment, our classes offer a safe space to learn, ask questions, and connect with other expectant parents.

Cost: R150 per couple per class OR R1150 for all 9 classes when paid upfront.

In honour of World Doula Week, we recognise the incredible role doulas play in walking alongside families through pregnancy, birth, and the early days beyond.

A doula offers more than just support. She brings calm in the unknown, strength in vulnerable moments, and reassurance when it’s needed most. Through every contraction, every breath, and every first cry, she is a steady presence reminding mothers: you are not alone.

At Estherea, we are deeply grateful for the doulas who pour their hearts into caring for our families with compassion, respect, and unwavering dedication.

Our newly restructured Estherea Antenatal Workshops are coming up soon, and we would love to welcome you and your partner. 💗

Instead of one long, overwhelming day, we now gather over two relaxed Saturday mornings — creating space to truly absorb, reflect, ask questions, and feel supported.

🌸 28 February – Birth Preparation & Labour
Practical preparation, comfort measures, pain management, partner support, and making calm, informed decisions.

🌸 7 March – Postnatal Care & Breastfeeding
Recovery after birth, newborn care, breastfeeding guidance, and settling gently into life with your baby.

These sessions are led by trusted midwives in a warm, supportive setting & designed to help you move from uncertainty to confidence.
