The girls spent the day learning what it’s like to be a zoo keeper. They explored animal care, hygiene, and the different food groups animals eat. One of the highlights was getting hands-on, touching reptiles and discovering how truly amazing these creatures are!

🌿✨ Holiday Adventures with a Purpose! 🐒🦜

With school holidays in full swing, we felt it was time to take a break from the usual routine and try something different. I came across Benoni Monkey and Bird Park and noticed they were offering a volunteering opportunity for kids. What a beautiful idea!

The girls spent the day learning what it’s like to be a zoo keeper. They explored animal care, hygiene, and the various food groups that animals consume. One of the highlights was getting hands-on, touching reptiles and discovering how truly amazing these creatures are!

They also got creative with recycled materials, learning how to turn “trash” into something useful and fun 🌎♻️

Most importantly, they laughed, made new friends, and walked away with so many new insights, all while having the best time. A perfect blend of fun, learning, and giving back!

Highly recommend this outing if you’re looking for something meaningful (and exciting!) for the kids these holidays.
